There was a kitchen on each floor, there was an elevator, and there was a laundry room if you need to do laundry (for a fee). The bathrooms should be checked regularly by the staff to ensure they are tidy and that toilet paper is replenished.

Great
The Kex Hotel is an excellent place to stay in Reykjavik. Staff are great, the property is very funky and the location is perfect. It could use a little more sound proofing but otherwise the perfect place to stay when visiting Iceland.

Fantastic

Stayed with kids

We arrived exhausted and cold at 2am and were greeted warmly and efficiently, given extra blankets, and found the room to be clean and comfortable. Excellent pillows and comfortable beds. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back! Thank you, KEX!

We stayed on 3rd floor and 2nd floor. The 3rd floor had a kitchen, room was a decent size but lots of slamming doors. Second floor faced the water, private bathroom but tiny room and you had to go up to 3rd or 4th floor to use the kitchen or laundry facilities and facing the water means lots of street noise.

Fantastic

Solo stay

This was my first hostel! Defiently felt safe as a female solo traveller in the all women's room, it was clean, the staff were helpful, and it is just out of the downtown so its not SUPER busy but its defiently walkable (10 mins or less!) I 100% recommend this place.
