TH Assisi.
The check-in process was very”Italian” .
I had to remind them that my reservation includes breakfast, a bottle of wine and a free upgrade.
I was refused the upgrade by the very not nice female manager claiming that “there are no Superior rooms available due to an event”.
When I showed her that I could right there and then make a reservation on Expedia for superior room for the whole 5 days of our stay, she still insisted that each of these room was assigned at least one of the days in question and she cannot change that.
While the rooms are somewhat soundproofed, the doors are not at all and so you hear lots of door banging and other noises from the corridor.
While the room is clean , modern and the mattress very comfortable, this 4 stars hotel does not offer body lotion, nor a hand held shower.
There is no coffee/tea in the room - there is a bar in the lobby where you can PURCHASE but at least the curtains keeps the room dark at night.
WiFi @ room was weak/intermediate.
Breakfast was underwhelming. Not a piece of vegetable, only TASTELESS white or whole wheat sliced bread and two kinds of cold cut and cheese.
The workers, in general and specifically in breakfast seems very motivated, and nice , but the problem might be that they were never instructed properly and so things run out occasionally.
