At the age of 80, I travelled for many, many years and stayed in hotels in the US and overseas. This was the WORST!!! I had a suite I expected to be 5-star, only to be rated 1/2 star. The furniture was outdated with scuffed marks, the curtains were torn one window had no curtain. Moldy vents, a hole in the wall outside the room, dirty carpets, no light switch when you enter the room. I needed to make copies for a meeting, only to be told the computer had been down for a few days and no idea when it would be in proper order (was told to get copies made at FedEx on a SUNDAY). The internet shows this hotel to be upscale, which is BS. I have stayed in New Orleans many times and enjoyed my visit .........THIS VISIT WAS THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. Beware if you stay at this Crowne Plaza. It is not the cleanest. Asked about a clock in the room and was told to use my cell phone.

Good
Staff was amazing. They were polite, helpful and very engaging. Location was awesome, you're at the start of all the action. Now for the not so great. The were roaches and rats and mold.. oh my. A roach was in one of the elevators I almost took, it was standing there looking at me like you gone get in or nah. The Mold that I noticed was on the last day in the stairwell, as we were forced to evacuate due to false fire alarm. The most traumatic thing was having a live and in color rat run into our ROOM by squeezing under our closed door. The staff was emphatic but lack urgency in addressing the issue. For the price I will give it a 2 out of 5 and not recommend unfortunately.
