The hotel is clean and the house-keeping staff are very efficient. The air con is old but effective. Very comfortable bed. The decor could do with updating but the main thing for me is the cleanliness which was very good. There is outside noise at night from nearby bars but earplugs helped! Apart from the noise, the hotel has a great location across the road from vaporetto stops and plenty of cafes and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is a great location for visiting Venice. It’s located right on the water at the public boat dock which makes it super convenient for accessing Venice and the airport. The hotel is incredibly clean and has a charming decor. Some of the rooms have views that overlook the lagoon and St. Mark’s Square. The breakfast is also fresh with scrambled eggs, bacon, vegetable medley, cold cuts, cheese, and lots of pastries. The only knock against the place is that the rooms are very small, but well maintained. Overall, a good stay.

Solo stay

Great stay as a solo traveller. The room is small but nicely kept. Beautiful windows opened out onto the water side. It did get noisy with the morning traffic of boats; but that was part of the charm. At night it did get loud with nearby restaurants and bars; but I didn't mind - also part of the charm. Excellent location for easy access to Venice mainland; Lido is a quieter and slower pace, 10 minutes walk to the ocean beaches. Great restaurants including seafood and happy hour specials, all along the main street leading to the ocean, so it felt more like a relaxed vacation there. The staff were very responsive, kind, helpful, and the place is not recently renovated but has an overall charm that you can't beat.

Note: this hotel is not on the main isle of Venice. It's on Ludo Island, which is close to Venice, but not on the main island. We did not know this, and it took an hour and a half by waterbus to get from the train station to Lido while lugging all our bags, etc. And honestly, it takes a while to get to it from where all the big things are on Venice, so you spend more time travelling because your hotel is further out. Luckily, the hotel is just across from the waterbus station, and the bed was pretty comfy, but if we'd known it was going to be so far removed from everything we'd be doing, we wouldn't have booked on Lido. You probably pay more to be on Venice itself, but it's likely worth it. The waterbus "system" is a disaster to navigate, so being further out really does hinder you. the hotel was okay. The breakfast was okay, but not as good as other hotels we stayed at in Italy. But we likely would not stay here again, given everything we know now.
