Great place to stay

Rooms were very clean and staff was nice and helpful overall a great experience. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and weren’t hassled about anything at all

Nice hotel and staff. Room was nice, staff was accommodating with me and my spouses handicapped needs.

Almost everything about our stay was great, which is why this is so disappointing. We arrived late after 12+ hours of cross-country travel. The gentleman at check-in was incredibly kind and welcoming. I asked if we could continue using the pool after our 11:00 a.m. checkout until about 1:00 p.m., and he said absolutely. He even told us there was a place to store our luggage. The next morning, the front desk attendant told us absolutely not, saying it had been hotel policy for about a month that guests could not stay after checkout. I asked if the policy had changed since the night before because we had been told otherwise. I completely understand if that's the policy, but the conflicting information was frustrating. One employee was accommodating while the other was dismissive, leaving a poor final impression. Otherwise, the property was well maintained, and there were plenty of staff around. We did find three earwigs in our room, though I didn't report them because the next morning I saw pest control actively treating rooms, so it appeared they were already addressing the issue. The unfortunate part is this would have been a 5-star stay. I had even called in December to confirm we could use the pool after checkout, and that assurance was one of the reasons I chose this hotel over others. Better communication between staff would have made all the difference.

Great location and price. My only complaint is noise from the pool area and the upstairs room. Probably not a great place to stay on business.

Clean room and helpful staff. Very convenient as it it close to the center of San Diego and Fashion Valley. There’s also on site laundry and a restaurant.
