Fantastic stay great room on floor 6 looking over the front of hotel, breakfast brilliant and great food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner very reasonably priced. Staff brilliant, friendly and helpful looking forward to staying there again Great position to bus and train station 2 mins walk away. Only 9 mins to Amsterdam train was just fab!

unfortunately i seem to have gotten a room that is older and in disrepair. the fridge door fell off when i opened it, the sink was cracked and soon turned out to be blocked!.. staff did respond promptly when i let them know about the problems. the room i was in had badly placed slanted ceilings for the gable. luckily i am short or i would have been crawling over the bed to get from one side of the room to the other. the breakfast is an experience to be missed. the scrambled eggs were rubbery and the pastries not very good. definitely not worth 20 euros. there are other close establishments which provide a delicious breakfast for quite a bit less. do not get the breakfast included with your room because after the first breakfast you will not want it. the canal outside the restaurant is full of trash and very unappetizing to look at. what could have been a charming view was quite stomach churning. i realize that this is a city problem but i wonder if the hotel could come to an agreement that the trash be skimmed for a fee. we had an evening meal at the restaurant and it was quite tolerable. the hotel is well placed to the inter city trains but the elevator and the escalator outside the door that raises you up to the level of the train were both broken. not the best for someone with mobility issues. i would not stay at this hotel again. in my experience, it was not a 4* by any means.

The r building is very unique innit self. The staff wasn’t friendly at all. They almost seemed bothered by the guests.

Great location to explore both Amsterdam and the surrounding countryside. Right beside the train station in the center of Zandaam. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, rooms were clean and spacious. I recommend the welcome package extra.

Easy to get to / from Amsterdam, Haarlem, and the Zaans. Plenty of restaurants and grocery nearby. If laundry is needed nearest laundromat is a hike. Quiet location. Gym is small. Room was comfortable. We stayed here to be in a quiet location with easy transit to Amsterdam central for sightseeing and a reasonable cost. While we had no complaints, after visiting Haarlem, we would have preferred to stay there given similar ease of transit. Haarlem feels more like a small AMS.

Perfect hotel for Amsterdam get away

Building exterior is obviously amazing, location is amazing being so close to the train station, food, and shopping. My only complaint is the walls are super thin so we could hear our upstairs neighbours all night. They weren’t even being excessively loud, simple things like opening curtains/drawers, moving chairs and walking could be heard loudly below. Also windows weren’t super sound proof so we could hear bike bells and people yelling outside at night. Also one of our towels in the bathroom had a huge hole in the middle of it??? Other than that our experience was good, room was small, but clean. Ac was a little loud but very cold. Good room for the affordable price

Property was a perfect location for my trip. Fun Quirky Hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the bar and restaurant in the evening. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby within walking distance. Train station was just a short walk away. Two stops to City Central and One stop to Zaanse Schans Windmills. Once we learned to navigate the trains it was very easy to get around. Trains were clean and safe.

Very nice hotel

This place is so cool! We got upgraded to the suite! Had a sauna and whirlpool bath. In it! When in Amsterdam you have to stay here! Very close to the windmill museum! Shopping and restaurants are connected to hotel!
