Out of town location. Property needs a makeover. Carpets overdue for clean or replacement. Room otherwise clean but not serviced daily. Reception staff polite and helpful but don't present a confidence in their product. Overall impression was shabby. Breakfast by 830am was limted to remains of much earlier cooked food. Had to bring attention to staff the mould on bread for toast.

It is a very nice hotel tucked in a quiet area. There are so many parks and activities nearby. The facilities are aging but still good.

When I arrived, there was no one at reception and I had to wait quite some time before a staff member returned to check me in. I was also disappointed to find that the health club had already closed upon my arrival at 8:15pm, despite the website stating it closes at 9pm. Later that evening, at around 10:30pm, the same staff member entered my room without knocking while I was in the bathroom. When I asked what they wanted, they asked for my name and then stated that the room was supposed to be empty. I explained that there had clearly been a mistake, as they had personally checked me in earlier. They then left without apologising. I found the situation quite strange and raised it with the staff member on duty the following morning, but they appeared completely uninterested. Room and whole hotel in general is pretty dated and not particularly clean. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it unfortunately!

Under new group and nothing like when it was a Best Western. The Spa pool was still out of order. We were there in October and it was broken. There was not the warm and friendly feel we’ve received for the last six years. It was very false. I’m not worried about fresh linen in my room, totally agree with only on request, but a clean cup and glass and tea etc being replenished would have been very welcomed. Not the same hotel and won’t be returning.

We checked that we could get an accessible room before making the booking. We also stated our requirements on the booking form. The request was on the system but unfortunately not fulfilled. We were told if we didn’t accept the room, we would not be refunded (even though the hotel had admitted fault). We were then taken outside (in the rain), to go through the bar, restaurant and many doors before reaching our room. The rooms are extremely outdated, with no air conditioning and the radiator being on, with no means to turn it off. The tiny gap in the open window did nothing to help the situation. Accessibility for wheelchair users is ridiculous. I can honestly say it is one of the worst, disorganised places we have ever had the misfortune to stay at
