Solo stay

Its a cool Hostel/Hotel in the middle of the Northern Quarter. So expect busy bar culture until late into the night. NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT PEACE AND QUIET OUTSIDE I chose a room, which was exactly what I needed: clean, comfy bed, modern, No aircon but windows open. Separate shower & toilet, a good size and a very good price.

Dreadful stay. We booked for 2 nights and left after the first night. We understood the room would be small and cramped and bathroom was tiny but what made it unbearable was the noise. This place is on top of a bar and the area has bars and pubs all around it playing dance music until 2:30am. The room is on the 1st floor and not sound proof. We could literally feel the base vibrate the room at times. Told staff about this and all I got back was that unfortunately this is the reality of staying with them. They did offer free breakfast, which we appreciated.

Fantastic
This hostel was awesome. I had not stayed in a hostel in awhile, so I was a little apprehensive, but this ended up being a great experience. I stayed in a four-person bunk room that was modern, spacious, and well designed. The bunks have thick blackout curtains that fully cover the bed, plus a charging port, light, and small storage area inside. The only small downside is that the storage shelf can be awkward if you are tall, as it is easy to bump your knee on it. Otherwise, the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The room had lockers, a large bathroom and shower, great water pressure, and everything felt clean. The showers were cleaned daily, and I saw staff mopping and maintaining the space regularly. Noise was not an issue for me. I was on the third floor, and although the hostel is in a busy, lively part of the Northern Quarter, it was quiet enough at night, especially with the window closed. The attached bar/restaurant downstairs was excellent. I ate breakfast there almost every day, and hostel guests get a discount on food and drinks. The food was genuinely delicious, the staff were friendly, and there was always something going on: live music, DJs, trivia, etc. The location is incredible. I spent most of my time in the Northern Quarter because it is lively, fun, and full of great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and nightlife. It is walkable from the train station, though a short Uber or bus is easier.

Fantastic

Solo stay

Mattress was so comfy. Pillow and duvet as well. The sheets were crystal clean. Room and toilet didn’t have a a bit of dust. Toilets are clean. Their pub has a nice menu and live music + the pub has AC and it’s great during heatwaves. Great place!!!!! Don’t forget the 20% discount on the menu for staying in. The location is fantastic and close to everything in the city centre. The place is well maintained and taken care of. Well done!
