Solo stay

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in over 30 years of travelling and staying in hotels around the world. The biggest issue was the temperature in the room. It was extremely cold, around 18°C, and completely uncomfortable. When I went to reception to ask whether the heating could be turned on, the staff were dismissive and unhelpful. I was simply told that the heating had been switched off for the season and that nothing could be done. No alternative solution was offered, no portable heater was available, and there was no attempt whatsoever to help a paying guest who was clearly uncomfortable. I contacted Expedia, who also contacted the hotel on my behalf. Unfortunately, they encountered the same lack of willingness to assist. To make matters worse, another guest informed me that there was mould growing in her room. For a hotel that claims to be four-star accommodation, this is completely unacceptable. Based on my experience, this hotel falls far short of the standards I would expect from a four-star property in Vienna. The combination of an uncomfortably cold room, poor customer service, and reports of mould left a very negative impression. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others. It was an extremely disappointing experience and one that I did not expect from a hotel in Austria. I only chose it as had an AM appointment 8 min walk from the hotel.

Good

Internet didn't work for two days. No bathroom amenities, no coffee machine in the room, just boiler, two teebags, one spoon. Little kitchenette would be nice, but wasn't utilizable unless you have brought your pots and plates. Elevator very slow, one out of service. Bar personnel was very nice. All together, the hotel deserves no more than two stars.

Lovely staff and a very warm welcome. Good connections for transport with trams, buses and trains in close proximity. Some of the corridors are a little tired and they allow smoking on the balcony which is fine if your window is closed. A nice place

Fantastic

Stayed with family · For friends and family

It’s one of the BEST hotel I have ever lived in Austria! The staff is so kind and friendly, they have been super helpful since my day 1 until last day (cannot remember the lady’s name). Even the housekeeping team is friendly! The building is very pretty (including furniture) and modern with most of the functions you need, it’s really like a mini hotel apartment. The room is very spacious as well as the mini kitchen, everything is very prepared (hob, pots, cutlery, microwave, kitchenware etc). The balcony is sooo great, same with the bathroom (very spacious and so clean)! I love the closet and drawers in the room! There are lots of useful stores eg dm, apotheke, billa, spar so you can either decide to cook by yourself or just go downstairs to have food. I’m planning to come back to Vienna for another trip next year and this will be the only place I wanna live again!
