We weren't met with the warmest of welcomes. The man on reception never gave eye contact, just asked for names, pulled a strange face and gave you a key. No mention of facilities, breakfast times. It was like we interrupted his day. We booked via hotels.com, a family room, 2 double beds and breakfast for £307 for 2 nights so I think was a good price for an adequate hotel. We stayed in room 275, it stunk! Smelt of stale cigarette smoke and mould, everything we kept in the room smells so bad! Every time we walked in the room we were nearly sick. Beds were comfy enough. Very old TV so unable to cast anything from a phone device. Pool was ok, no jacuzzi. Steam and sauna ok for an hour. Room cleaners very friendly always asking if you needed room cleaning, an air freshener would have been great. £17 bar bill for a large red wine, a cider and a J20 so maybe a little high. Breakfast was great, there was black pudding, haggis, tatty scone, all well cooked and the usual cereal. It was included in the booking, so think you would be disappointed if had to pay £17.50pp. This hotel was probably amazing in it's hey day but is looking as tired as it's staff. Musty smell over the whole building. I guess they are trying, no way is it a 4 star anymore. But for a cheap place near airport and easy access to Breahead, Paisley and Clydebank a good stopover.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and exceeded my expectations. We also ate in the hotel and the food was first class. Will definitely go back. It is so close to Glasgow airport too.

Check in was 40 minutes later than expected due to the room not being ready ,obviously trying to run hotel with not enough staff ended up getting a different room than planned. We were going to a concert and had to cancel plans for eating out because we ran out of time . The room was ok but not a four star room ,clean but a very small and not comfortable bed and the hotel was dated. Didn’t use the facilities ie restaurant and bar or spa.

Fantastic
Only the leisure centre seemed a little worse for wear. Extremely unpleasant smears on the wall in the female changing rooms and a smell in the pool area. All main hotel areas visited were lovely.

Stayed for 2 nights, great, helpful staff throughout the hotel. Room was nice but very far from reception and a bit of a maze to get to and from. Amenities were good but no bar service after 12.30am, disappointing. But we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Solo stay

Not a great experience The hotel is very shabby. Bed uncomfortable and room old fashioned. There was a random table in mine taking up space the room didn’t have with no chairs for it. No hairdryer in the room, had to phone down and ask for it. The iron leaked all over a cream skirt, spitting mucky water on it and marking it. Some kind of event / disco last night so extremely noisy and I wasn’t advised about it on check in. I have no issue at all with people having fun - and it sounded like they were - but when you’re staying at what’s also marketed as an airport hotel, there’s a good chance that’s because you have a very early flight and need a reasonable nights sleep. The only positive was the breakfast. Plentiful, fresh and delicious. And it’s not like it’s a budget hotel so what you pay vs what you get is disproportionate. And I didn’t raise any of this with them as when I checked out this morning the gentleman on reception who was yawning extremely rudely and loudly didn’t ask how my stay was. How this place is rated as 4 star is an absolute mystery to me.
