Fantastic

Solo stay

A mix of private tiny "rooms" or sleeping capsules. No real doors and hewalls don't go to the ceiling. If you're OK with this then you will enjoy your stay! I decided to stay last minute and got the last room which was a private bunk room for 2 people. It came to $150CAD My friend that had booked with advance notice had found a deal for $68 Each bunk has a tv and earphones and the room has a lockable drawer, desk, chair, garbage can, mini closet space with hangers, 2 lights, a plastic accordion door and curtains for the doorway as well. The beds were firm and comfortable and they supply a pillow, sheet and light weight duvet. Everything was really clean and low scent. The common spaces are fantastic! Large well layed out kitchen and lounge, separate office space with private phone call rooms, a meditation room, showers and bathrooms. They supply coffee and toast for breakfast, and towels for showers. They also supply earplugs. The sleeping rooms are separated by a door from the common spaces and people are expected to be mindful of noise in the sleeping areas. I found everyone followed the rules and even though you can hear everything, it was mostly just people coming and going quietly . It was a perfect place to stay for a quick trip to a concert at Massey Hall as it was less than a 15 min walk there. We are dinner at Green Street around the corner and I had a delicious salmon and veggie bowl. I'll be back.

Fantastic

Solo stay

Amazing experience, the lady up front was very kind. The sleep in the pods was very quiet and it didn’t feel like anyone was around. Very recommended especially if you’re staying solo

Not happy with my stay as I was unfortunately affected by bed bugs. You get what you pay for I guess, but at this price point, I strongly discourage

Fantastic

Solo stay

This was my first time in a hostel— all I had heard were horror stories from friends who have travelled other places and I’m so glad that I could rave about this place for solo travel.

Fantastic

Solo stay

My second stay here, and it is really good, I was made to feel very welcomed, the staff are super. I tried a different option on the pods and it was really good, I found out it is based on the same style as the pod hotels in Tokyo, Japan. The concept is brilliant and I like the community feel, better than staying in a conventional hotel as sometimes it can feel lonely, but not here, the people I met are friendly and I hope we remain in touch. It is easy to get here from Toronto Pearson airport, use the UP train to Union Station and the subway to St Patrick, the Pod Inn Hotel is behind number 400 block with stairs to the hotel. You buy your tickets from the stations at machines. I will also mention if you want some very good street food, walk across to Village by the Grange mall in St Patrick Street, it is very reasonable and cooked in front of you. Thank you for a pleasant stay to all the staff, I wish you all the best of success and I hope to return soon.
