Below average Don't be fooled by the pics, which are from some time in the past. The breakfast was nice, and that is the positive. This property could be beautiful and I assume it was at some earlier date. Huge trees down blocking walkways as well as walkways falling apart making it hard to safely explore the property (one of it's selling points). Room decor is dated. Noone there to check us in, noone there to help with adjusting the temp in our room (freezing) or getting us a blanket. No response to attempts to contact them at the number they provided. Didn't feel super safe that doors to outside are unlocked overnight, anyone could walk in (and one of the windows in our room on the ground floor didn't lock). Also no staff there in the morning. We read that the owners might be having financial issues. I empathize, but the stay was not worth the almost $500 price tag with the current conditions.

Honestly this was probably the first time when my husband and I didn’t stay the full length of our trip (2 days) and checked out after one night. It was very disappointing. Firstly, I believe we were the only ones at the hotel. We did not see any other people except some of the workers. There is no one at the front desk 85% of the time. There is a number to call if you need assistance but that’s about it. The breakfast and the lady serving breakfast was very sweet and breakfast was very good.
Very disappointed about amenities! The fire place was not working, some of the outlets didn’t work! The farm to table restaurant is closed and is not working. There was ZERO room service! No one changed the towels or cleaned the room at all! Honestly for this price a night I would NOT recommend at all! There was no amenities available and overall just unfortunately a disappointing experience! When we let the front desk know via text message that we are leaving at 6pm instead of 11am the following morning they did not say a word except “ok”. No asking how was everything or if something bothered us… nothing! There was literally no one at the front desk!

The staff is nonexistent -- literally no one at the front desk ever, guests leaving post-it notes trying get help after calling with no response. Finally a sign posted to call certain numbers, but then guests told to wait 20-minutes because they aren't on site. The amenities promised on their website are nonfunctioning -- no spa, no gym, no restaurant, no pool. The place isn't set up for guests -- patios with no seating, if a seat is available it's dirty. Everything is in need of repair and cobwebs needed cleaned up to reduce the number of bugs. We left a day early because it was so bad -- and just as we were leaving, the electricity went out and a generator flicked on.

There are a lot of renovations going on, and it might not be at the height of its game… But they do everything they can there to make you comfortable… Including upgrades and five star service. We would definitely go back they are renovating the spa which I believe is probably taking away from giving attention to other parts of the property, but I believe the owner and his staff have all the right intentions and because of that and because of their service, we will definitely be back.

Good I was so excited when I booked this weekend getaway. The On-site restaurant was said to be one of the best in the Hudson Valley. The reviews were excellent. Evidently, I did not look at all the right reviews. The week before our vacation, the dinner reservations were canceled. When I called to find out why I was told that the restaurant was closed temporarily. I asked about the bar. The bar was also closed. They mentioned that the spa was under construction it was being relocated to another part of the grounds. Evidently, that spa has been under construction for years. The full breakfast that came with the room was indeed a treat. The room was small, but the patio you walk out to was very nice. we were the only guests the last two nights. I don’t think anyone was in the hotel with us, including staff. I was going to ask for the room to be discounted, but I couldn’t find an any one to ask.

The owner/manager was never on site. Fire alarm went off and we Waite outside for police and fire trucks. Gym and restaurant closed. No amenities. Feels abandoned.

The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The resort premises are cute. Breakfast which was included was decent. However, a day before our arrival we have learned that Henry’s restaurant where we had a birthday dinner reservation was closed which was disappointing as it was meant to be part of the overall experience. Tried to reach the property several times, left a voicemail and couple messages through Expedia, no one reached back or acknowledged our outreach. During our stay no one was ever at the front desk - the only one who seemed to work there was the chef/server.l which we met at breakfast.
