FantasticStayed with friends · For friends and family
Just spent a weekend away at the dirty bottles with our friends, lovely clean room, pleasant staff and good food, location very good for the castle and town centre. 30-40 minutes away from Lindisfarne. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Would stay here again.

This hotel is perfectly located to visit Alnwich Castle, gardens, Lilidorei park and the town. It is clean. The room we had is beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend and hope to come back soon.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
We were in room 3 which had a challenging set of stairs, no lift due to nature of the historic building.
Very atmospheric place bang in the middle of the town great access on foot to all amenities.
A 10 minute stroll to the Castle and the excellent car park.
Breakfast was first class value.
The room was spacious excellent shower and roll top bath.
Bar facilities very good small outside beer garden.
Plenty of Sky Ports TV screens in the bar, Saturday night there is a disco in the bar.
Not for us but it did not bother us.
All round brilliant place.

Had a three night stay. Quirky Harry Potter themed room. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Had to report to the manager that the shower wasn’t working and he immediately went up to the room and simply turned it on. How embarrassing …. and me an engineer too. Ate in the hotel first night. Food was very good and comparatively inexpensive. Nicely cooked breakfasts as well. Good choice of beer. First time in Alnwick. Would go again. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Loved Harry’s bar which was just a few yards from the hotel.

Location is great with lots of free parking options nearby including EV chargers.
The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and warm. On the downside was the fact that our room was just above the pub and on Saturday night was very loud until midnight and we couldn’t sleep. So make sure to ask for a room on higher floor.
Regarding the breakfast one day we had the eggs Benedict which were not good as the hollandaise sauce was too watery, scrambled and bland.
The 2nd day we had the English breakfast which was very good and I would definitely recommend it.
The breakfast continental buffet could have more fruit options (only apple and oranges were available) and should be refilled regularly which wasn’t the case.
