My partner and I had a great evening with our guide Momoko. She introduced us you 2 local eateries with mostly locals and Japanese only menus. The food was amazing and Momoko was very knowledgeable, explaining the different dishes we ate. The sashimi was delicious, the wagyu beef was very tender and the eel was yummy and a first for me! After mains we moved on to a second restaurant for sake and a local dessert. The evening was very enjoyable and a great learning experience! Highly recommend!

It is incredible. Not only do they explain what sumo is, but they make you feel and experience it. The staff is very attentive and fluent in multiple languages, and the wrestlers are very nice and fun. I had a great time and had the opportunity to observe and try to move a professional sumo wrestler.

Our guide Ms Shion was amazing! She is very enthusiastic and engaging. The walk covers quite a lot at a good pace but we didn’t spot any maikos or geishas which was my main objective. I wonder if the route could be reversed so there’s a higher chance of spotting the talented artistes at the the Queen of Geisha district?

हम 9:30 बजे की बुकिंग वाले पहले मेहमान थे, लेकिन हम 9:20 पर ही दुकान पर पहुँच गए। काउंटर पर मौजूद महिलाएँ बेहद अच्छी थीं, वे चीनी बोल सकती थीं, और जल्दी पहुँचने पर भी हम सीधे कपड़े और बेल्ट चुन सकते थे, उसके बाद ऊपर जाकर स्टाइलिंग करवा सकते थे। दूसरी मंज़िल पर कपड़े पहनाने, मेकअप और स्टाइलिंग में मदद करने वाली जापानी महिलाएँ भी बहुत मिलनसार थीं। चुनने के लिए कपड़े बेहद खूबसूरत थे, जिनमें अलग-अलग तरह के कपड़े (फैब्रिक) थे, और चुनाव करने में बहुत असमंजस हो रहा था। पहली मंज़िल की महिलाएँ सही बेल्ट और एक्सेसरीज़ चुनने में भी मदद करती हैं, और उनका सौंदर्यबोध बिल्कुल सही है। (इसके अलावा, दूसरी मंज़िल पर स्टाइलिंग करने वाली महिला का काम करने का तरीका बहुत तेज़ था, पलक झपकते ही बाल तैयार हो गए)। कुल मिलाकर, यह सेवा बहुत तेज़ और पेशेवर थी, और अनुभव बहुत अच्छा रहा। अगर कभी दोबारा कियोजू-देरा (Kiyomizu-dera) आने का मौका मिला, तो मैं निश्चित रूप से फिर से आऊँगा/आऊँगी।

Our tour guide, who could switch between Chinese, Japanese, and English, and also spoke Korean, made sure every group member was taken care of. It was a huge benefit not having to research the history and stories of each attraction ourselves. They offered pre-ordered lunch, which allowed us more time to explore Kiyomizu-dera Temple and its surroundings, and the food was quite good. The itinerary was well-paced for the limited time (however, this tour is not suitable for travelers who prefer to savor sights slowly or spend a lot of time taking photos, as the time allotted for Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine doesn't allow for walking the entire Senbon Torii path!). The tour bus was clean and tidy, and the ride was smooth and steady. I'm prone to motion sickness and usually sleep on buses, and I didn't wake up due to poor driving.

A lovely and authentic experience. We learned the proper way to prepare matcha and gained a better understanding of the meaning and traditions behind the tea ceremony. Wearing the traditional Japanese kimono made the experience even more special and memorable. Highly recommended!
