Staff was lovely. Quiet & clean property. I do wish the window in my suite had locks so I could keep it open safely. Having it face an easy access roof from a bar below is an uneasy feeling for a single female!

Excellent experience

Great location for walking to all the sites & plenty of food options nearby. The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. I felt safe at all times & enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea each morning. We couldn’t have asked for a more friendly or helpful staff. Ann at the front desk was the best and we looked forward to seeing her each day as we went on our daily adventures. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to beautiful Victoria, BC.

This hotel is a historic building with many original features which have been meticulously preserved. However, it is not old and musty, it's fresh and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly, especially Ann and the restaurant is very good.

We were pleased with the size of the room which was large. The beds were comfortable and clean. And the hotel was nice and quiet. Overall a great place to stay.

Our room was nice and clean with the bedmaker coming every day. We did not have air conditioning in our room but they did have 2 portable fans in the room. There were 3 windows that we could open at night as well. Unfortunately only one of the windows had a screen. The food at the hotel downstairs was delicious and the servers very friendly. Definitely recommend eating there. It is in a great location. Ended up walking to all the main attractions.

I don’t think I’ve given a 11 out of ten but the staff deserves it. And the rest of the Inn is a ten. Keep up the good work.

We really enjoyed our stay at the James Bay Hotel! The location is excellent—quiet yet central—and everything is within easy walking distance. Beautiful Beacon Hill Park is very close by. The rooms are comfortably furnished and very clean, and the staff is very friendly. Parking is free. There is a breakfast restaurant and a cozy pub serving tasty beer and food. We would happily recommend it to others!

This is a beautiful little gem. Was in Victoria for my convocation and got to stay here. The staff are incredibly friendly and we were wowed by the room (suite!) we got. Perfect location too - it's a very short walk into all the great things downtown and down to the water but is also super quiet in the neighborhood so you can sleep well. We will definitely be back.
