Bien
No elevator it is very hard to take luggage to second and third floor. While walking in rooms floor makes noise. Rooms are not sound proof you can’t talk loud in room.

Firstly, the Days Inn at Uptown Victoria is a motel not hotel as listed. Our rooms were accessed from the outside which made feeling secure a little less. The rooms are dated, with the toilet being small and lower to the ground and the tub very small. The sink was outside of the bathroom and located beside the bed. The bedding was clean but the beds are situated on a metal skirting that made a tin can popping sound every time you moved and the A/C was right beside the one bed making it hard to sleep in because of the air flowing over. There was no way to divert the air so we ended up using only one bed. If you turn off the A/C it got very stuffy. The TV is cable only with one movie channel. This was all easily tolerated but the floors were very dirty, not understanding why our socks were so black. I thought it was from our shoes but it was all around, not just where we walked.

The building itself seemed a little dated but updated and well maintained. Our room was clean, however, we discovered that one of the beds had a broken bed frame, which was resolved asap by proving us with a new (upgraded) room. Easy access to downtown Victoria (~10min drive). Overall a positive experience.

The room was clean enough. Real cups instead of paper would be nice. Fix up the old rusty door hinges and bathroom fittings would be good. Water temperature was difficult to regulate.

The staff were very friendly and kept our suite clean during our week stay. Everything went smoothly and the staff made sure we knew that they were available to help with anything during our stay. Overall, it was a positive experience. The only problem we had was finding parking Friday night when we checked in. All the parking spots for the hotel were taken up by people attending the live music at the hotel bar (despite the signs, people parked there anyways, and it did not seem like anything was being done to stop them). However, the rest of the week was fine.
