This is a small boutique hotel in the old French concession. Staff is amazing, they go above and beyond. Nice clean rooms. We didn’t care too much for the breakfast there and that’s important to us but it’s in a great location where you can walk to things so overall I’d recommend but not sure I’d be back.

Cute hotel, with great interior design. The room was very clean and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. While the breakfast is quite limited in options, the quality is good. The only minor drawback is access: The hotel sits in a little pedestrianised area and cabs can’t access directly to the hotel lobby. The road is a short walk, but imagine this is more inconvenient in poor weather. The upside is the hotel is really quiet and the little area it sits on has a cool cafe / bar etc. The location is great: nearby to the French concession and all the fun shopping areas. We would definitely return to stay again!

Great location in quiet and elegant French concession area. Staff are exceptionally helpful. I had a taobao package that was marked delivered to the front desk but in fact a no show. Various staff had tried contacting the delivery guy on my behalf during my stay to ascertain where the package was left despite to no avail. The effort they had shown was very touching and was greatly appreciated.
Special thanks to Nancy, who particularly went above and beyond.

Our stay at the Blackstone M+ Hotel in Shanghai was absolutely wonderful! 🌟 The location is unbeatable — perfect for a relaxing city walk and exploring the neighborhood. The front desk and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with luggage or opening doors.
The room was beautifully prepared, with thoughtful touches like a welcome fruit plate and steam eye masks. The bathroom was spacious with excellent water pressure — such a great shower experience!
Before we checked out, the hotel even gave us a lovely farewell gift: a set of bookmarks shaped like plane tree leaves, a charming symbol of the local streets. It was such a meaningful gesture.
We truly enjoyed every part of our stay and will definitely choose Blackstone M+ again next time we’re in Shanghai. 💛
