Not closed to majority area , only had one mall closed to hotel . Must taxi to most area .
Front desk courteous.
Hotel Concierge not helpful at all when inquiring city big bus tours , no idea if city big bus tours still in operation?, no other recommendations.
We had to searched ourselves and found where boarding city big bus .

I paid for my room for a week and ended up in the hospital for 3 days. when I came back they rented my room out and said it was because house cleaning went in 2 days in a row and it didn’t need cleaning so they checked me out . When I came back they gave me another room that had a clogged shower with overflowed all over the place. I stayed 3 nights and was charged for 8 .

I had an excellent stay at this Shanghai Holiday Inn! The location is great as it’s near the subway station and a mall, which were convenient since I could get around the city as well as have a lot of shopping and dining options. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and attentive by always checking whether we needed anything, and the service was quick and reliable. The room had a nice view of the city, was decently spacious, clean, and organized. The front desk workers Mr. Zhang and his co-worker were helpful during our time there, and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking to book in this area!
