Hôtel charmant ! Buffet extrêmement copieux pour le dîner et le petit-déjeuner ! À 5 minutes à pied de la ville et de la Vallée de l'Enfer ! J'adore l'onsen ! La navette valait vraiment le coup, elle s'arrête juste devant l'hôtel. Je crois qu'on peut prendre le train JR, mais c'est deux fois plus cher. Le trajet en bus jusqu'à l'hôtel coûte 1000 yens aller simple. Transfert sans problème. Merci, Hôtel Maharoba !

It is a nice hotel for relaxation and enjoying the hot spring, the staff provide good service and care, which makes the stay like being at home.

Noboribetsu area itself is a hidden gem & this hotel too. We went in peak winter (late January 2026) and saw the entire place transform into a magical winter wonderland. The onsen and public bath facilities are top notch. They have both an indoor and outdoor onsen which offers variety. Spacious baths with sauna make the whole onsen experience super relaxing. I loved this onsen the most. Try to book half board dinner plan (it is a dinner buffet) with your room as there aren’t many options to eat nearby. They offer an affordable paid shuttle service (if booked last minute) to the airport and Sapporo station. Places nearby to visit- Hell valley which is close by so you can walk it up, and various hidden snowy trails & pathways like the natural outdoor footbath makes exploration adventurous! A must visit place if you’re coming all the way to Hokkaido!

I had a great time using it at a low price! I was worried about whether I should book an expensive Ryokan since I was going alone, but it was so great that I could use the Dai-ichi Takimotokan Ryokan next door if I stayed here. I heard that this is the biggest Ryokan, and it really is big. The baths are big and there are about 10 small ones, and there is also an outdoor hot spring, which was great.

Lovely Ryokan, with nice staff that do everything possible to communicate with you as good as possible being a non-japanese person. Amazing food, book dinner and breakfast if you stay here for the full experience!
