- Welcome to Family Day at Tai Kwun Contemporary! For this event, presented by Tai Kwun Contemporary in collaboration with MUDWORK and Rooftop Institute in partnership with Wendy Tai, Pipilotti Rist’s artwork is the inspiration for a series of activities created by artists. Parents and children are encouraged to explore the body and moving images with activities that invigorate our senses and let us experience the world in a different way. This artist-led programme invites any child aged five or older and accompanied by a parent/guardian to participate.

About the Workshops:
Cloud-Shaped Stool Workshop
- Collaborating artist: MUDWORK
- Clouds often appear in children’s drawings, just as their amorphous forms can be easily imagined as different objects. MUDWORK invites parents and children to explore their close relationship and their bodies’ boundaries by drawing each other as clouds, and then turning their artwork into unique wooden stools. Workshop details:

Rhapsody of Light
- Collaborating partner and artist: Rooftop Institute and Wendy Tai
- What does the magic of our world look like through children’s eyes? How can parents avoid being judgmental and offering too much guidance so that they can explore imagination with their children? Artist Wendy Tai has designed a workshop to observe and discuss how Pipilotti Rist uses light and colour in her work to express diverse subject matter. She also invites parents and children to reconnect their senses with their surroundings by creating cycle wheels. Workshop details:

Entry arrangements:
- Parents are responsible for making sure their children follow gallery rules
- Please do not touch the exhibits
- No food or drinks are allowed inside the gallery
- No selfie sticks or tripods
- Visitor can store oversized luggage in the cloakroom during gallery opening hours
- Please place umbrellas at the umbrella rack by the gallery main entrance or store them in the cloakroom

Un guide présentera d'abord les expositions, puis fabriquera votre propre petit tabouret en bois avec l'inspiration créative de Huipipi Ledi Rist. C'est très intéressant. Les adultes et les enfants passent un bon moment😃
Le jour de la famille Tai Kwun a toujours été populaire auprès des parents et des enfants. Les ateliers sont diversifiés et les enfants interagissent entre eux.
C'était une journée familiale amusante de Tai Kwun. Des amis de tous âges ont pu terminer une pièce de menuiserie ensemble. Les enfants étaient tellement excités qu'ils pouvaient utiliser des outils électriques. L'instructeur a également expliqué très clairement la méthode et le processus.
Un si bel effet d'ombre et de lumière, plein d'imagination, les enfants sont si heureux de repartir.
Très bonnes activités parent-enfant, exercer la capacité pratique des enfants. 👍🏻👍🏻 J'espère en tenir plus.
L'atelier est animé par une personne spéciale pour expliquer, afin que nous puissions mieux comprendre le sens des expositions elles-mêmes, et laisser les enfants utiliser librement leur créativité pour compléter leurs œuvres !
Quelle exposition d'art intéressante. Les enfants suivront la visite guidée par le personnel du site et des activités prolongées seront organisées pour approfondir leur mémoire et vivre une bonne expérience.
J'aime beaucoup cette activité, elle permet aux enfants et aux parents d'apprécier les oeuvres ensemble, le personnel est très gentil.
C'était une exposition très intéressante. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Les guides touristiques ont amené les enfants à explorer les expositions avec les sens. Très bon et intéressant.
L'atelier Fantaisie Lumière et Ombre est soigneusement organisé et adapté aux élèves de l'école primaire au collège.
