- Mingyueyuan Meigetsu-in Temple is arguably the most famous hydrangea temple in the entire Kamakura area. The hydrangeas in the temple are mostly blue-green, so every flowering season, thousands of hydrangeas will dye the garden into a spectacular sea of blue flowers, as if you have stepped into a fantasy world! In addition, the circular windows next to the main hall of the temple present different views because the plants in the background change color according to the seasons, which always attracts many people to look out and admire.

- Hasedera Temple Hasedera Temple has a history of over a thousand years and houses Japan’s largest wooden Guanyin, the “Hase Kannon”, which has eleven faces and guards the area. When the hydrangea season comes, the Hydrangea Trail in the area has various types of hydrangeas such as blue, purple, pink, etc. It is a must-visit place for hydrangea lovers! ※It is about 7 minutes’ walk from Hasedera Temple. The Enoden Railway passes in front of the Torii Gate and hydrangeas are blooming on both sides. It is a famous photography spot for Enoden Railway during the hydrangea season.
※For guests who are going to Goryo Shrine, please note that the time required for walking and going back and forth will reduce your time for viewing the flowers at Hasedera Temple.
※Photography is prohibited in the Goryo Shrine. Please note that if you want to take photos, please go outside the torii gate.
※The path in front of the Torii is narrow. Please do not stand on the level crossing to take photos for safety reasons.
- Enoshima Enoshima is a small island located on the coast of southern Shonan. The restaurants and snack bars on both sides of the island’s shopping street sell local seafood specialties, especially fresh anchovies dishes! In addition, you can go to Enoshima Shrine, one of the three major Benzaiten in Japan, and pray for business prosperity, knowledge, etc. It is very effective!
- Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine was founded in 1192 as the faith center and patron saint of the Kamakura Shogunate. It has guarded the area for more than 800 years and witnessed the rise and fall of the Kamakura region. It is known as one of the three major Hachimangu Shrines in Japan, along with Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine in Kyoto and Usa Hachimangu Shrine in Oita.
