Ce qui vous attend

**Due to the recent warm weather, there is no snow in Miyama, and the next week will be mainly sunny, so the possibility of snow accumulation is extremely low. Miyama officials have notified that the snow lantern experience in the original lighting event will be cancelled, and guests will be given a bottle of Miyama milk (200ml) or Miyama milk coffee (200ml) instead. **

  • Dear guests, the following is a reference itinerary for the day (please note that the tour guide may adjust the itinerary sequence or delete the stay time of some attractions according to the actual situation of the day, I hope you understand!) Pre-trip notice: We will send you detailed tour guide and vehicle information by email the night before the trip, please be sure to check it in time. Sometimes emails may be mistakenly classified into the trash. If you receive multiple emails due to special circumstances, please refer to the last one. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Depart from Osaka/Kyoto in the morning
  • Arashiyama Arashiyama is a popular attraction in Kyoto, suitable for visiting all year round, but it is particularly attractive in winter. You can start from Togetsukyo Bridge and enjoy the snow scenery that looks like an ink painting. Especially when covered with snow, Mt. Atago and the surrounding mountains are more peaceful and beautiful. Go to the bamboo forest trail in Arashiyama, listen to the natural sound of the wind blowing the bamboo leaves, and feel a special Zen feeling. This is also the filming location of the movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”. When passing by Nonomiya Shrine, you may want to touch the “turtle stone”, which is said to help the wisher to achieve his wish within a year. While strolling leisurely, you can visit the surrounding ancient temples and gardens to experience the unique historical and cultural atmosphere of Arashiyama.
  • Miyama Thatched Village (winter limited lighting event, there will be special winter fireworks on January 29!) Miyama Thatched Village is one of the three major thatched house communities in Japan. The snowy scenery in winter seems to make people travel through time. The thatched houses in the village are covered with thatch on all sides, creating a sense of simplicity and isolation. Every year from January 25th to February 1st, the village holds a snow lantern event, where the snow lanterns and flower lanterns lit up at night give the whole village a romantic atmosphere. You can participate in the snow lantern making experience and enjoy drinks and desserts made with Miyama milk in a traditional gallery-style cafe. If you are lucky, you can also enjoy the fireworks show that lights up the winter night, which is a perfect end to your journey.
  • Return to Kyoto/Osaka (Shinsaibashi area)
Togetsukyo Bridge: During the cold winter, there are fewer tourists visiting Togetsukyo Bridge than in other seasons, so it is a good opportunity to leisurely enjoy the surrounding scenery!
