Staff very courteous, very helpful in advising where to go and setting up cab service.

Room was beautiful. Well appointed and thought out. Great location. However. The bar and restaurant seemed abnormally expensive for Japan. Luckily there are hundreds of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.

Great location! You can easily walk to many key attractions of Kyoto and there is a metro station a few steps away from the hotel to get to further destinations. Would stay here again

The king bed was just two beds pushed together, so we kept on falling through the crack and every hour we'd have to get up and push the beds back together. The bathroom was great; the eco friendly environment great. The complimentary cocktail was a great touch, but the bar closes quite early, we never had a chance to come back to it. The staff was great!

Great stay.

We stayed for five nights, initially booking a Classic Queen room. While well-presented, it felt quite compact, so we spoke with the staff and were able to upgrade for a reasonable fee, which made a noticeable difference to our stay. The location is excellent—very close to both subway and train lines, making it easy to get around and explore other areas. Housekeeping could be more consistent. On one occasion, the body wash wasn’t replaced, though it was delivered within a minute after calling reception. The floors also didn’t always appear to be properly cleaned, which is an area that could be improved. The room was well-equipped with dressing gowns, pyjamas and slippers. Items such as an iron weren’t provided in-room but were brought up quickly when requested. What truly stood out was the reception team. They were exceptional throughout—welcoming, efficient and genuinely helpful. It’s rare to see service at this level done so consistently well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

We loved this hotel!

It was a good stay but there were some issues. The property is very well located, it is pretty and overall comfortable. The room was very clean. The Bed was comfortable and they had pillow menu. There is a nice small lounge with candies and hot drinks but the reception. The staff was good. However, no iron in the room, and upgraded room with the view( payed extra fo it) had a view of th parking lot. The breakfast is not worth the fee in my opinion - over easy eggs were terribly overdone and overall this was not a fantastic selection for the price. Also, the lobby restroom had a strong moldy smell and I think it was not cleaned frequently enough. But the rooms were very clean and there were no issues - ok to stay but there were some small issues as above
