Happen to stay at Tropicana by chance for 1 night. Not my go to hotel while staying in AC. Elevators were slow, room was horrible. Wall paper peeling and toilet was broken, no flushing. Long wait to call for assistance. Manager was helpful with at the end at check out crediting resort fee and early check-in. Early check-in is also a joke. You can arive at 3:30pm and if your room isn't ready, $30 early check-in fee. Manager could have done more, however Tropicana credit system was broke. Go figure. All in all, I would never stay at Tropicana again. I rather Resorts and Hard Rock.

The Tropicana was great as far as the amenities and staff helpfulness, and a great place for families with children too. The only problem is that housekeeping was extremely slow to bring supplies and didn’t clean our room until the last day we were there which we turned down because we had already cleaned and about to check out anyway. We had to request multiple times for amenities including towels, washcloths, sheets, garbage bags, and rolls of bathroom tissue. If housekeeping had been better I would have given a 5 star.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware that I could choose which property to stay on. We got the old part of the Tropicana, which I was not happy about since we had to walk so far to get to a room to get to the casino or to get to the beach. The Room had a living room and a bedroom. The bedroom was in the bed, but the living room with the couches was really old and not satisfied this time for what I paid.

Chelsea Tower was as expected. A bit dated. But met our expectation from reviews. Priced right for condition and location. The room was very clean. Hard to find staff . Casino was great. Food and drink option were plentiful.

My husband and I booked a quick get away for the weekend. The hotel was being renovated and we can accept that. But, we were given a handicap room with NO TUB- so the shower was open to the WHOLE bathroom floor. We took one shower each the whole weekend because when we did take a shower, we had to line the floor with extra towels. It was awful!!! The hotel was so busy and they did tell me to go to the front desk to see what they could do, but the lines were always so long. Other than that the stay was just ok. So note of caution, when you go to Atlantic City, make sure your room is not handicapped if you are in fact, not handicapped. Will say that the housekeeper was a dear person who gave us extra towels to use and understood the situation, she tried to help up best she could.
