APA Hotel Kyoto Gion EXCELLENT

The rooms are very small but ours had a massage chair that was great to use at the end of the day after walking many kilometers.

The room was spotless. We booked one room and since it was 3 of us they gave us an extra room no charge for one of us. The Apa hotel is in Gion, right in the middle of everything, we highly recommended

Our stay very nice and warm. The staff are very friendly and they will always make sure that you have everything you need.

We were a family of 4 traveling, so we had 2 adjoining rooms. The hotel is well situated to walk to restaurants and historical shopping areas. Even though cleaning services are not provided every day, their system to exchange towels is very efficient. We enjoyed our stay and would use APA again.

The a/c is centralized so you cannot adjust the room temperature and it could get hot at night at times

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in Kyoto. The location is perfect, with easy access to temples, restaurants, shops. It made exploring the city incredibly easy and enjoyable. The staff were outstanding—efficient, professional, friendly, and always willing to help. Every interaction was pleasant, and they made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. One of the highlights was the amazing massage chair in the room. After long days of walking around Kyoto, being able to relax in the massage chair was an absolute luxury and made our stay even more special. Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we genuinely have no complaints. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto. I loved this hotel, it is clean, good size even with a small kitchen! So convenient to go anywhere, I will stay here again when I revisit Kyoto next time. Thanks!

The hotel was very clean and had several useful amenities. There is a Starbucks on the main floor for a morning coffee and snack. The nearest train station was a few minute iwalking away and bus stops are outside the building. The location couldn’t be better for shops, food , market and a few temples and shrines also within walking distance.

Everything was above and beyond. The staff was very patient with my lack of Japanese language skills. Best location.
