Lovely property in an awesome area. We were able to access so many places via a 20 minute walk in different directions. Close enough to the action, but tucked away from the high traffic areas. We’ll stay there again.

The lounge is great with free snacks and drinks and games. The breakfast was also quite good. The staff was nice as well. Our room didn't have a view, but was spacious with a nice bathroom. It's a ten minute drive from the train station, lots of good restaurants close by.

Second time staying at The General and second time great experience. The hotel location is superb - central so you can explore everything on foot, but also slightly off main tourist roads. The hotel itself is a very cosy boutique hotel that takes great care of all the details and great experience. Also, we really enjoyed their food recommendation map.
Would love to come back one day!

Incredible hotel, staff, and accommodations. The location is a hidden gem nearby so many restaurants where you don’t meet reservations just walk and you’ll find a great place to eat. We did not opt for breakfast as we wanted to explore the area. They have complimentary tea, coffee, and desserts in the lounge as well as wine and beer for a happy hour style. Rainfall showers with toiletries provided and the most comfortable beds to rest and recover from. Would have loved to stay longer but saving this for next time.

We loved the location, as it was only a 10 minute walk from the train station. The breakfast and happy hour were great! The staff were very helpful and assisted us with transportation to the airport. The only thing that can be improved on, our bathroom had a musty smell and we noticed it was coming from the sink, so some better ventilation would be a great addition as it felt a bit stuffy in the room and bathroom.

Very basic, clean, good location but nothing fancy. Can’t see out the windows and they don’t open. I personally would not stay here again.

The property was underwhelming for the price paid. The property was in an excellent location and the traditional room feel was great. But we had to ask for tissues and toilet paper to be replenished several times and there was no mini bar or room service (although there was a self service lounge with free drinks and snacks). A nice place but not worth the cost.
