Syntagma Square -kierrokset

Ateenan kaupunkikierros bussilla ja Akropolis-kävely oli paras päätös, jonka tein. Haha~ Oppaamme Dimitris jakoi paljon historiallisia faktoja ja se oli hauskaa. Kuljettaja Yanis navigoi sujuvasti kaupungin keskustan läpi ja jätti meidät Akropolille. Nähtävyys voi olla erittäin ruuhkainen ja hieman jyrkkä, mutta opas hallitsi ryhmäämme hyvin varmistaen, ettei kukaan jäänyt jälkeen. Varaa tämä kierros – se herättää muinaiset rauniot eloon tavalla, jota mikään teksti ei voi toistaa!

great start to finish 9am on time and reached Athens station 11pm~. Shoutout to Yanis our driver, safe driver and Vassou our tour guide, she was friendly and knowledgeable!! saw 3 monasteries inside and they even brought us to view the 4th one although from outside as that closes early but it’s fine .. it’s the first monastery built and the most gorgeous one! worth the steps to visit all 3 monasteries. lunch was great too. only downside was the dinner which was very expensive , guess typical tourist trap euro20 for 2 souvlaki skewers w fries, salad and a water bottle. there’s other food options which I overheard other passengers complaining about the prices they had to pay as well. but other than that, beautiful trip! enough toilet breaks w toilets in the monasteries we visited

Guide was very comprehensive and the tour went smoothly from pick-up point! We received good information about Acropolis and artefacts in the museum.

Tämä Cape Sounionin retki on ehdoton kokemus Ateenassa vieraillessa! Rannikkoreitti on henkeäsalpaava (kiitos kuljettaja Panokselle), ja Poseidonin temppeli auringonlaskun aikaan on silkkaa taikaa. Oppaamme Maria oli ilmiömäinen. Hän oli ystävällinen, innostunut, erittäin organisoitu ja upea tarinankertoja, joka herätti myytit ja historian eloon. Hän varmisti, että meillä oli runsaasti aikaa nauttia rannasta ja näkymistä ilman kiireen tuntua. Se oli virheetön retki, ja suosittelen sitä lämpimästi kaikille!

we really enjoyed our tour! our tour guide was great (unfortunately I’ve forgotten her name). she was patient and attentive to all group members. The pace of the tour was good and she was very knowledgeable about the history of the site and Athens in general. My shy son even felt comfortable asking her questions.

Irene K and our driver George were an absolute pleasure! George is an excellent photographer with a wonderful sense of humour and Irene K was truly fantastic. she is extremely knowledgeable, flexible and adaptable to peoples interests and shared so much history and context that was truly valuable. Having such a qualified and experienced archaeologist as a guide to such ancient and important spaces was a real blessing! as for the trip itself, it was perfectly paced really such a special experience! I am so glad that I joined this tour and highly recommend it. The only negative thing I can think of was that the food at the restaurant for lunch on the first day was just okay and a little overpriced. Perhaps to tour company might consider some other locations to stop for lunch. Even just a smaller local spot considering the group itself was only small.
