Shedd Aquarium

Kävimme illalla ja näkymä oli upea. Pääsimme ihailemaan pilvenpiirtäjiä ja Navy Pieriä, nauttimaan Chicagon yömaisemista korkealta. Varauksen tekeminen oli myös erittäin kätevää ja helppoa; päätimme vierailla klo 20.00 ja onnistuimme varaamaan sisäänpääsyn heti klo 21.30.

An amazing museum, the Field Museum has one of the world's finest collections of paleontology and fossils. The museum is located in Grant Park. Here are the must-see treasures and permanent exhibits in the museum: SUE the T. rex This is not only the museum's absolute signature attraction, but also the largest and best-preserved (with 90% skeletal completeness) Tyrannosaurus rex fossil in existence. Located in the Griffin Halls of Evolving Planet on the second floor, it is paired with special lighting and multimedia animations to let you fully experience the overwhelming presence of this apex predator from 67 million years ago.   Máximo the Titanosaur Upon entering the museum's soaring main hall, this gigantic creature will immediately catch your eye. Máximo is currently the largest dinosaur known to humanity (about 121 feet long, weighing 70 tons in life). This replica is so large that visitors on the second-floor walkway can take photos directly at eye level with its head.   Inside Ancient Egypt This exhibit simulates the interior passageways of an ancient Egyptian tomb, making you feel like an explorer venturing deep into a dark burial chamber. It features 23 real human mummies and over 30 animal mummies, detailing the embalming and mummification process with a deeply immersive atmosphere.   Griffin Halls of Evolving Planet In addition to seeing SUE, this hall comprehensively traces the evolutionary history of Earth's life from single-celled organisms to human ancestors. Along the way, you can see precious fossils of dozens of prehistoric beasts, including saber-toothed cats, woolly mammoths, and Triceratops, offering plenty of educational value and visual impact.

Todella maailmanluokan museo, jossa on uskomaton kokoelma taidetta eri aikakausilta ja kulttuureista. Näyttelyt oli kauniisti kuratoitu, ja tunnelma oli samanaikaisesti inspiroiva ja rentouttava. Kuuluisien mestariteosten näkeminen henkilökohtaisesti oli unohtumatonta. Henkilökunta oli avulias, ja museo oli puhdas ja hyvin järjestetty. Ehdottomasti pakollinen vierailukohde Chicagossa ollessa.

A very convenient way to see the major tourist destinations in the city because there's no need to think about which bus/train to get on, just find the bus stop and off you go!

Had such a lovely experience on the Chicago River Cruise! The views of the city’s architecture were beautiful, and it was such a nice way to see Chicago from a different perspective. Definitely a must-try when visiting the city! Booking through Klook was convenient, too! ✨🏙️

An attraction well worth visiting. The Ledge (glass balcony): This is the biggest highlight of the Skydeck. Located on the 103rd floor, it features several fully transparent glass boxes extending 1.2 meters outward. Standing on them and looking down, you are suspended entirely in mid-air, offering an intensely thrilling visual experience and the best spot for taking stunning high-altitude photos of Chicago. The tallest observation deck in the United States: The Willis Tower is currently the third-tallest building in North America. On a clear day, visibility reaches up to 50 miles, allowing you to span the borders of four states at once (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan) and take in the magnificent views of Lake Michigan and the urban skyline.

Tämä on aivan ehdoton tekeminen, jos vierailet Chicagossa! Upea kokemus, näkymät ovat mahtavat, opastus loistava ja tarvitset vain riittävän hyvän sään nauttiaksesi siitä. An excellent experience and absolutely worth the time and money! The cruise offers stunning views of Chicago’s beautiful skyline and architecture. The tour guide was fantastic, providing entertaining and informative commentary throughout the journey. One tip: choose a later afternoon or early evening departure, as the sun can be quite strong on the boat, even with the breeze. Overall, a wonderful and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
