The class is fun and value for your money. You will also get to know the history of Hoi An lanterns. The teachers are young, cheerfull and helpful, they will give you step by step instruction at your own pace. highly recommended if you visit in Hoi An.

I had a great time making lanterns with this family in Vietnam. They were super friendly, clearly love what they do, and are really good at it. They made the whole process easy and fun, even for beginners. It was a cool way to learn something new and be part of a local tradition. Definitely a highlight of the trip! Word of advice: Choose the full class. You get to make your lantern from its basic parts and it really doesn't take that much more time. Else, you will just be sticking the fabric on the frame.

This is a fantastic activity which my whole family agreed was so fun. Even if you have no craft skills, you come home with a pretty professional looking lantern. They help you through the whole process. We booked the 9am session which I recommend because the activity is quite popular. There was already a line outside by midday full of people waiting to come in and walk ins. The lantern folds flatter and fits in your luggage and then you can pop it open again. We did the full lesson which took us a little over 2 hours. I assume if you book later in the day when it is more full, it may take longer as you wait for the teachers to check your progress.

The experience is a must do in Hoi an, we can really create your lantern from scratch and they will guide you every step as well as making sure it’s well done so your lantern looks amazing at the end and you can chose the design but also the fabric you want ! Loved the family vibe shop also !! Highly recommend

It was an amazing and knowledgeable lantern making experience. Teaching staff were friendly and very patient. They monitored every step we made to make sure we could handle and helped fine-tune them a bit so our lanterns look nice. I specially thanked the staff were caring and patiently guiding my 4 years old girl to make the lantern. We also learned the names of different lanterns in Hoi An. The lanterns are foldable, so it is no worry to bring them home in suitcase.

It was a great class. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to do it but lanterns were looking so pretty in the whole town that I decided to opt for the class. Tam and her cousin were quite fun and helped us through the entire process amazingly. I would highly recommend this place for the express or full class of lantern making.

highly recommend this workshop for anyone who loves making your own craft!! I had a wonderful time learning how to make lanterns from the masters who showed great passion, patience and skills. they are also around to assist you every step of the way. many beautiful fabrics to choose from so you can customise your lantern. it is a family business that has been around for years, highly recommend.

Such a fun and educational experience! I chose the longer workshop, so I basically got to make everything from scratch! The teachers are really knowledgable and fun and I got to take my lantern home with me (you can kind of fold them up for your trip, so they fit better)!

Lớp học rất thú vị, ấm cúng; nhân viên thân thiện, nhiệt tình và có thể giao tiếp đồng thời tiếng Anh và tiếng Việt (các bạn nói tiếng Anh rất tự nhiên vì đã hướng dẫn khách nước ngoài lâu năm); chi phí và thời gian thực hiện đều hợp lý (một short course kéo dài 1h-1h30 được làm sẵn khung đèn; một lớp học đầy đủ từ uốn tre, ghép khung, lựa vải sẽ kéo dài 2h-2h30). Hành khách mới đến sẽ được mời welcome drink là trà Việt Nam, tiếp đến nhân viên giới thiệu qua về lịch sử lồng đèn, các kiểu dáng đèn, và sau khi kết thúc, mỗi hành khách sẽ nhận một món quà nhỏ xinh và chụp ảnh cùng thành quả của mình. Mình đã có một khoảng thời gian vui và ý nghĩa tại đây, nhất định sẽ giới thiệu và recommend bạn bè.
