Kanchanaburin safaripuisto ja Kwai-joen sillan päiväretki

Suosittelen tätä päiväretkeä lämpimästi. Päivä oli erittäin pitkä, mutta ehdottomasti matkan arvoinen näiden upeiden historiallisten kohteiden näkemiseksi. Opas oli erittäin ammattitaitoinen, mutta hieman vaikeaselkoinen (ei kuitenkaan ongelma). Matkustimme pienessä ryhmässä tila-autolla. WC- ja välipalataukoja oli runsaasti. Kirahvit safaripuistossa olivat todellinen kohokohta yhdessä kuolemanrautatien junamatkan kanssa. Tapaamispaikka oli helppo löytää, sisäänkirjautuminen oli helppoa ja retki palasi noin klo 20.00. Suosittelen tätä retkeä lämpimästi, mutta varaudu pitkään päivään.

Need minimum 6 pax for tour to proceed. Meet up was 10 mins before departure (8am), in a van (up to 10 pax). Given mineral water bottle each. Safari park includes the bus tour (with giraffes feeding at bus) and both crocodile show and elephant show. We paid additional 100baht (2 bowls of carrots) to feed giraffes/ deers/ zebras during bus tour, as well as 1000baht /pax for giraffe encounter (take pic with giraffes and zebras on a 4x4 vehicle, 1000baht/pax to take pic with baby lion (else can opt for 800baht for big lion). All extras can only be paid by cash at entrance of safari world. We love the train ride (4 stops) on death railway as it’s scenic on a very old train. Walk along small portion of death railway to a cave, and the River Kwai. Fruits (pomelo) sold there are cheap and sweet. Early dinner at Cafe, before heading back (arrived CentralWorld around 8.30pm).

She's knowledgeable about both the Safari Park and the WWII history of Kanchanaburi. Clear with instructions, especially regarding timing and other activities. I had an amazing private tour in Kanchanaburi, visiting Safari Park, the Bridge over the River Kwai, and Meena Cafe. At Safari Park, I got to feed giraffes from a jeep—an unforgettable and fun experience! The park was clean, well-run, and perfect for animal lovers. Next was the River Kwai Bridge, a powerful historical site from WWII. Walking across it while learning about its past was moving. Finally, we relaxed at Meena Cafe, set in beautiful rice fields with views of Wat Tham Sua. The drinks and desserts were delicious, and the atmosphere was peaceful. Our guide was friendly and informative, and the private setup made everything smooth, flexible, and comfortable. I never felt rushed and enjoyed every moment. This tour had the perfect mix of nature, history, and relaxation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Thailand!

This was the most costly Klook we booked for our Thailand trip, mainly because of how far the destination is from Bangkok. The safari was a unique experience—close encounters with animals you don’t usually see made it worthwhile! 🐘🦒 The itinerary was okay given the travel time, and the scenic train ride was definitely a highlight. Transfers were fast, probably to keep up with the schedule. Our tour guide was kind, though his accent was sometimes hard to understand, and it would’ve helped if he answered phone calls when someone got separated from the group. For the price, it felt a bit steep—especially since food wasn’t included. Maybe Klook can review their pricing to match the overall value. If you want convenience, a private tour is recommendable, especially due to the location. But if you’re okay with DIY, it can come out much cheaper!✌️ Still, it’s a day well spent with some unforgettable moments.😎

Overall a smooth and enjoyable trip for our family. ✅ Support team was friendly & responsive from booking to travel. 🚗 Driver Mr. Pong was punctual and polite, but not very interactive. 🦒 Safari Park & giraffe photo session were the highlights – glad we booked early! 🌉 River Kwai Bridge was peaceful and kid-friendly with flexible timing. ☕ After the Rain Cafe had a nice view, but staff were less friendly. 🍽️ Would love to see halal food stop options included in future. ⭐️ Rating: 4/5 – Worth it for families looking for a relaxing, animal-filled day outside Bangkok!

the safari park is very fun! however you need to pay additional for other activities. you need to pay additional 1000baht for jeep with giraffe and 1000baht for feeding lions/tigers on top of the price of the tour. you can pay over there directly no need to book in advance. crocodile show and elephant show is free!
