Unprecedented - Joint Ceramics Exhibition on the Art of Neriage VI Introduction

Touch Ceramics

In this exhibition, we will appreciate the remarkable works of five outstanding ceramic artists: Aiko Sato, Chihiro Shigemoto, Juko Mori, Yasmin Pat, Yukiko Takahashi. Each artist showcases their unique style and technique, revealing the infinite charm of Renkō ceramics.

Neriage is a distinctive ceramic technique that combines coloured clay to create beautiful patterns, displaying the same design on both sides of the piece. Each piece of clay undergoes slight distortions during stretching, cutting, or connecting, adding unique variations to each pattern. Through overlapping designs and the passage of time, the ceramic artists create exquisite Neriage ceramics, where every touch of clay is imbued with poetry and beauty.

Over the past five years, TOUCH Ceramics has presented the most recommended Neriage works annually, gaining immense popularity among art lovers in Hong Kong. This year, we are excited to host "Unprecedented - Joint Ceramics Exhibition on the Art of Neriage VI" featuring five talented Neriage ceramic artists who will contribute to this grand event!
