Company Wayne McGregor: Deepstaria | Show Introduction

A multi-dimensional choreographic experience exploring the dark mysteries of the deep

This September, world-renowned dance master Wayne McGregor presents the Asian premiere of his latest work Deepstaria – a shapeshifting production inspired by the otherworldly locomotion of the deepstaria jellyfish.

Performed by Company Wayne McGregor in a light-absorbing Vantablack® space, the choreographic experience becomes a meditative dance and acoustic reflection on the mysteries of the dark void, and our relationship with our own mortality.

Deepstaria features acoustic imagery and animative music by Oscar-winning sound designer Nicolas Becker and music producer LEXX, enhanced by the digital audio engine Bronze AI.

The production premiered at Montpellier Danse in France in June 2024.
