About the event
Susan Wong is performing live at the Fringe Club for two nights on May 3rd and 4th @ 8pm to mark the release of her new album "Kamereon". A versatile singer noted for her smooth, soulful style and ability to put a fresh jazzy spin on well-known pop songs, Susan has racked up millions of streams for her renditions of classic songs like "At Last", "You've Got A Friend" and "California Dreaming" with her albums, "Close To You" and the bossa-nova flavored "511" garnering critical acclaim.
Now back with her new twelfth album, "Kamereon" (named after the Japanese word for chameleon), the Hong Kong born singer’s unerring ability to bring a fresh, new complexion to a wide range of songs taken from different musical genres is evident. Aided by her producer, the Osaka-born saxophonist Hisatsugu Suzuki, and his band, Wong has created a stylish jazz album brimming with her trademark soulful vocals drizzled over syncopated grooves.
Susan will be performing tracks from the new album, as well as a collection of fan favourites. You don't want to miss this special evening of jazz-flavored sophistication.
