๐๐ฎ๐ถ ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ is an ode to our beloved city through the shrewd and quirky lens of the celebrated local calligrapher, Sellwords. With discernible allusions to the city's highest peak, the renowned diner famous for its soufflรฉs, and the crest of honour, "Tai Ping" becomes the embodiment of our soaring hearts and the place we call home.
Sellwords, known for their unique style, has been creating written works based on local popular song lyrics since 2013. They have been gaining recognition from the public during the Lunar New Year market at Wong Tai Sin Morse Park since 2014. This exhibition is the calligrapher's first large-scale solo exhibition in nearly three years, coinciding with the Lunar New Year. The exhibition also features a variety of limited-edition art merchandise, including themed postcards, leather calligraphy hangings in collaboration with local leather workshop BEIS LEATHER, tote bags, and calendars.
In addition, the exhibition also marks the first collaboration of Wyndham Social with the multi-award winning local brand Perfume Trees Gin, not only as a partner for the opening reception but also with a sales booth inside the exhibition space showcasing the brand's recently launched limited edition products. In response to this exhibition, Perfume Trees Gin has specially introduced a custom laser-engraved gold lettering service. Visitors can choose their favorite phrases, which will be personally written by the calligrapher and then engraved in gold paint by staff members on wine bottles, providing a unique selection of New Year's gifts for the audience.
