The plot of the story of the four sisters, "The world changes, but human kindness remains" remains unchanged
The Cantonese opera version of "I Have a Date with Spring" focuses on retaining the sense of Hong Kong's text and language. The musical gongs and drums in the play will use a gong and drum pattern that is closer to the Hong Kong style. The rhythm is faster and there are more complete fragments in the scenes, requiring the actors to highlight their In Cantonese Opera, the four heroines will perform singing styles from different Cantonese opera genres.
It is worth mentioning that this time is an in-depth cultural and artistic cooperation between Hong Kong and Zhongshan. Both places are places with profound Lingnan culture and are committed to retaining the characteristics of Cantonese opera. The music director of this performance, Gao Runhong, is also the master of the famous Cantonese opera teacher Liao Sen. A native of Shiqi, Zhongshan, director Gao Zhisen is also a native of Shiqi, Zhongshan. Everyone will have a unique "sense of mission" when making this work!
Synopsis:
In the 1950s, a large number of US troops passed through Hong Kong, and Hong Kong's entertainment service industry was extremely prosperous. Forced by her family's financial needs, young Yao Xiaodie went through many twists and turns to join the teahouse singing circle, met the sisters Lianxi, Fengping and Lulu, and became famous singers. She performed a heartfelt love song with Jiahao, who was unforgettable to her. Unexpectedly, an accident caused Jiahao to never return and there was no news, leaving Yao Xiaodie to wait for twenty years...
