A Pop-Up Spectacular

Karen Mok, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, is celebrating her 30th anniversary with a surprising announcement of a personal exhibition titled "Reign of Moknificence: Karen's Light Years." The exhibition will be held at Major Pop Art Gallery in Sheung Wan from September 29th to October 22nd. "Reign of Moknificence" offers a brand-new experience, allowing us to once again appreciate Karen from the best perspective, bridging the past, present, and future in an instant, presenting a fresh vision and stage. This exhibition serves as a perfect starting point for the second half of her career.

The most remarkable feature of "Reign of Moknificence" is the integration of "holographic projections," where 3D images are projected onto real-life scenes, creating interactive projections of Karen herself. Four iconic photographs from the photobook "Wen Cheng Wu Wei," captured by internationally acclaimed photographer Wing Shya, will be presented through augmented reality (AR) technology. Additionally, works of ink wash visual art created by calligrapher Chen Aining for the music video "For One Tear Shed by One Person" will be on display. There is also a "Behind-the-Scenes Experience" designed by renowned art director Zeng Zhiying, who has worked with many top singers.

Furthermore, "Reign of Moknificence" includes an exclusive "Mokitty Comic Exhibition Area," featuring original virtual comic character "Mokitty" that conveys the belief in protecting the Earth and endangered animals. Visitors can also explore the exhibition's latest merchandise, creating great anticipation. Upholding the responsibility of caring for animals and the environment, Karen sets an example by choosing more sustainable ways to contribute to the world. The proceeds from this exhibition will be donated to organizations that support stray animals and endangered wildlife.
