About the event
This is the first overseas solo exhibition of a young Japanese artist, Mana Osawa. We are pleased to introduce to the people of Hong Kong the wonderful world view of Osawa, who is expected to grow up in the art market in the future, just as the title of the exhibition implies.
In these series, Mana does not just present the lovely appearance of flowers, but also their boldness and power, as they use some ingenious traps to take advantage of living organisms and spread their seeds, absorbing nutrients even from other plants in order to survive. Mana is in awe and respect of these plants, meanwhile feeling the overwhelming energy. Nowadays, humans continue to destroy nature, it may not speak, but it actually has great intelligence to survive in this generation by adapting the dynamic environment. Mana hopes that people will realize the splendor of coexisting with nature while feeling respect and awe toward them, and the art of Mana will serve as a catalyst for action, building bridges between two of them.
