About the event
Supermarket is the place for daily essentials where people are mesmerized by the variety of products neatly showcased on the shelf and has the magical power to make one linger. The theme originated from 2021 when the world was still caught in pandemic. During that period of time in Japan, shopping in the supermarket were precious moments for people to gasp fresh air. Haruka Yamakawa used the people and things in the supermarket as the subject for her creations. The first “SUPER SUPER MARKET” exhibition held in Tokyo in 2021 had received overwhelming response, followed by Vol. 2 held in Hong Kong subsequently. As the world resumes normal in 2023, Quiet Gallery is proud to present Vol.3 at Quiet Gallery and to let everyone be immersed in the charm of the supermarket scene created by Haruka Yamakawa.
