About the event
HACK | GayBird x Ata Wong | Show Introduction

Media artist GayBird + Theatre director Ata Wong = HACK
Machines are reconstituted to embrace perpetual motion; cold machines and warm bodies constantly reshape and regroup
Sounds spill from every corner, creating an evocative sonic mosaic, engendering a strong sense of motion
This is an absurd yet surrealist theatrical creation
A flawless process Endlessly mismatched results
The warmth and emotions of machines
The normal details of everyday life as they deconstruct and reconstruct
The body is shaped, controlled, modified, even wilfully replicated
Machines breathe, performers’ chests heave, music is generated by formulas
Have you ever encountered a machine that touches your heart?
Have you ever encountered a performance that can sustain your excitement?
Have you ever listened to an enduring musical work?
The warm arms of the machine extend and embrace
Part of our musculature, they are our companions
We feel together, we exist together
We support each other in creating every touching moment
