About the event
Exhibition Introduction

Living under the shade of aircraft noise, many Kowloon City residents used to have a love-hate relationship with the airport. Apparently, that contradictory feelings no longer exist in the post-Kai Tak era. What was Kai Tak Airport like? How did it operate in the heart of the city? What did the local residents think about the “noisy neighbour”? Follow us to look back at the origin of Kai Tak and see how Kowloon City has come all the way!
The exhibition “Kowloon City Through The Lens: The Kai Tak Years” is now opening in the information centre. This time, our team has made full use of every corner, bringing a fun and interactive display about the Kai Tak history. It features showcases of timeline, historical photos, hanging aircraft installation, floor and window stickers which recreate the boarding area in the past.
If there is a flight that can fly you back to old Kai Tak, will you come?
