Fairmont Waterfront

Clean overall. So far so good. Stay there for the game. About 20 mins walk to BC place

This hotel really makes you depend on them for everything. There is a nice fridge in the room but don’t you dare touch it or put your leftovers inside or you’ll be charged! Ridiculous to have a fridge filled with liquor top to bottom. There is also the up charge as soon as you walk in. For $150 more per day you can eat all your meals at the hotel. Again, they make you completely reliant on them for everything. I was on the 15th floor and could hear all the port sounds, including port authority whistles, cars, honking, boat noises, etc. I wanted to like this hotel but I would never stay there again. Would much rather stay in Yaletown or Kitsilano. Save yourself the trouble. Stay somewhere else with a mini fridge you can actually use and maybe even a microwave!

Expensive but great location if cruising

The hotel and rooms were clean, and has great views. Food court and pharmacy conveniently located in concourse level of hotel. Walking distance to many restaurants Friendly and helpful staff. Special thanks to Anastasiia K at the reception desk, who provided amazing service.

Very convenient location and lots of things to do in the area.

After visiting Fairmont whisler, Fairmont express in Victoria and waterfront. This was not meeting Fairmont expectations on my opinion. Bad service at the pool, food was ok. Hotel room, bathroom counter was dirty, we could see the glasses spots, etc Too expensive for the price

Perfect location on the waterfront and easy to navigate to other parts of the city. Breakfast in the restaurant on property was excellent. Concierge did an outstanding job with supporting our foodie tour of Vancouver.

Beautiful hotel - the gardens and the interiors are all beautiful! We had great weather while we were there over July 1 so we also experienced the great fireworks over the harbour . The staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed cocktails and light snacks when we first arrived from the ferry. The hotel is well situated as we took the city bus (#70) from the ferry and it stopped in front. We also took the bus #75 to visit Butchard Gardens ($6 round trip!) It is on a great street for shopping and many different restaurants. We found fun places to watch the FIFA World Cup games. The hotel has a beautiful high tea which was popular while we were there. It is also expensive. There is a lovely high tea at the Butchard Gardens which is less expensive. Our room was small - private as it is towards the back of the hotel. The bathroom was especially small with little room to move around. It was a small square shower stall across from the toilet. Most upsetting was an unexpected small ledge down from the bathroom to where the bed and sofa bed were. It was so sudden that caught me by surprise - even in daylight.

The location was excellent and made it easy to explore the area, but the overall experience didn’t live up to what I expected from the Fairmont name. I booked this hotel because I had always wanted to stay at a Fairmont, so I left feeling a little underwhelmed. The room was comfortable and nicely appointed, and the pool looked beautiful, although it was quite busy due to the hot weather, which was understandable. Unfortunately, the check-in process felt rushed and lacked the warm, welcoming service I was expecting. Throughout our stay, the hotel was also quite noisy, despite the posted reminders about quiet hours in the hallways. For a hotel carrying the Fairmont name, I also expected a higher level of amenities and overall guest experience. We’ve stayed at several lower-priced hotels that offered more thoughtful touches and amenities, making the overall stay feel more enjoyable and better value. We likely would have shared this feedback at checkout, but we weren’t asked how our stay was before we left. While this experience didn’t meet my expectations, I wouldn’t rule out staying at another Fairmont property in the future. I’m hopeful this stay simply wasn’t representative of the brand as a whole.

We had a great time at this Fairmont. We’ve stayed here several times. Clean, friendly staff and great food.
