The instructor was very patient and friendly, explaining in detail how to use the SUP. We didn't need to exert much effort while snorkeling either. The entire experience lasted over three hours, and I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Kenting!

Mido un poco menos de 160 cm y soy de esas personas que se paralizan por completo si el agua me llega por debajo del cuello. Fallé en todos mis intentos de snorkel en Phuket y Krabi, ¡pero finalmente lo logré en Kenting, Taiwán! El instructor fue increíblemente amable y se aseguró de revisar mi estado constantemente. Nos dijeron que con suerte podríamos ver tortugas, ¡y nosotros vimos siete! El instructor se esforzó mucho en tomar fotos. Todos los demás eran locales y no había ningún coreano, ¡así que me encantaría que más coreanos conocieran este lugar y vinieran! También hay taquillas con contraseña, las duchas estaban bastante bien para ser al aire libre, y tienen secadores de pelo y centrifugadoras.

Una experiencia fantástica, gente encantadora y apasionada dirigiendo el tour y, a pesar de la barrera del idioma, fueron muy pacientes, atentos y amables. El instructor te lleva inicialmente atado a un flotador para mostrarte el arrecife y asegurarse de que usas correctamente tu equipo de snorkel; luego puedes explorar por tu cuenta. Hay muchísimos peces hermosos, no invasivos para el medio ambiente (zona marina protegida) y lo más destacado fue ver una tortuga. Incluso te toman algunas fotos y las suben a su Facebook para que las descargues.

Estaba un poco preocupado porque no había reseñas de coreanos, así que lo usé solo. Primero, hablaban inglés perfectamente y fueron muy amables. Me dijeron que si se me caía el teléfono, ellos me lo traerían, y me explicaron todo detalladamente de principio a fin. ¡El instructor Yuki revisó todo, desde la seguridad, uno por uno, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera realmente divertida! Estaba muy agradecido por el precio, que incluía fotos, instrucción individual y cuidado. Normalmente, el snorkel que he experimentado era simplemente que te daban unas gafas y te decían que te divirtieras, pero aquí, si tragabas agua, el instructor te preguntaba si estabas bien y te explicaba cada pez. Si eres coreano, simplemente reserva aquí sin dudarlo. ¡Lo recomiendo encarecidamente!

El entrenador explicó todo con mucho detalle, lo cual fue una experiencia fantástica para nosotros que era la primera vez que hacíamos snorkel. Los niños también se divirtieron muchísimo, no paraban de asombrarse al ver la rica y diversa vida marina. ¡Tuvimos mucha suerte de poder ver tortugas marinas verdes!

“The Excitement of My First Dive in Taiwan” My two children got their Open Water Diver (OW) certification in Hong Kong in July, and their first practical dive was here in Kenting. We initially went to another shop that had a lot of online ads and a large facility, but unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. Luckily, I had booked with Nanyung Diving! Nanyung's shop isn't big, but it's full of warm Taiwanese hospitality. They never rushed us, allowing us to take our time listening and learning. Coach A-Wei was incredibly friendly and gave very clear instructions; the introductory divers followed him. My children went with the experienced Master Tang-ge, who continuously taught them diving techniques and knowledge along the way. With them in his care, I felt at ease to enjoy my own underwater world! We didn't have plans for the next day, so we booked another morning dive with them. This time, the children went with Coach Long-Long, who meticulously searched for small marine creatures in the ocean for them to see. My older son said that once, the coach pointed to a pile of sand, and they looked and looked, not knowing what to see. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be an adorable sea bunny! For these two days, the waves near the shore were quite strong! Since it was a shore dive (introductory dive), we couldn't walk into or out of the sea on our own. Fortunately, Coach A-Wei is strong and familiar with the terrain. Whether going out or coming back to shore, all we had to do was float and relax, and he single-handedly towed both of us safely to the center of the sea. We're so grateful for his hard work! As Master Tang-ge said: “The system isn't important; skill is!” Similarly, the shop isn't important; skill is! When I was diving with the other shop, I thought, “Oh my god! Is this all Kenting diving has to offer? So disappointing!” We are so thankful to the coaches at Nanyung for giving us a perfect experience! P.S. This was the best choice for this trip! The owner was incredibly kind and it was great that they could speak Korean. The diving instructor was also very friendly and took great photos. There were many beautiful fish, and the underwater world was amazing. For those coming to Kenting, you absolutely must try this! If you pay an additional fee, they also offer pickup and drop-off, so even those who don't rent a scooter can come comfortably. If I can come to Kenting again, I'd love to come back!
