Explore the immense beauty of the upper snowfield of the Haupapa/Tasman Glacier, this is where its 23-kilometre journey begins. As you fly in to 2200 metres (7200 ft.) aboard your ski plane, marvel at the rock and ice debris transform to glistening white. Get ready to explore the glacier by walking, hiking and snowshoeing, you may even see an iceberg in the glacier lake!
If you have never tried snowshoeing in NZ, now is the time to give it a go! Snowshoeing is a great way to confidently make your way across snow-covered terrain. Once on the glacier, we will provide you with snowshoes, adjustable walking poles, harnesses and any additional equipment you may need. After your gear is fitted, you are ready to explore the ice formations in this ever-changing environment; you’re in the heart and birthplace of New Zealand mountaineering.
Your flight home tracks down the eastern side of New Zealand’s highest mountain, Aoraki/Mt Cook and the stunning Hochstetter icefall. You’ll return home with incredible memories of your Tasman Glacier hike in this vast mountain landscape.
This experience is named in honour of Harry Wigley, pilot and pioneer of the retractable ski for glacier and airfield landings. Although the Haupapa/Tasman glacier is the primary landing site this may vary depending upon environmental conditions.

Muy buena experiencia, definitivamente vendré a Nueva Zelanda a jugar nuevamente. El guía turístico es muy profesional y presta atención a nuestra seguridad. Debido al clima, el itinerario se pospuso, pero el helicóptero partió sin problemas. No fuimos a la parte superior del glaciar, pero vamos, me gusta escalar el glaciar
Experiencia impresionante. El registro fue un suspiro. El amable personal nos proporcionó buenos equipos ... el guía fue muy paciente durante toda la caminata. Puede hacer bastante calor, así que sean valientes, pongan mucho bloqueador solar. Protejan su piel. No hace tanto frío como imaginamos y nos advirtieron.

El Tasman Glacier es el glaciar más grande y espectacular de Nueva Zelanda. El mundo blanco como la nieve con montañas será más espectacular que los glaciares de la costa oeste de la Isla Sur de Nueva Zelanda. Realmente lo recomiendo.
Debido al clima y la falta de gente, tuve que cancelarlo de mala gana. Mi amigo preguntó varias veces sobre el reembolso antes de recibir una respuesta del sitio web. Sería mejor si pudiéramos tratar activamente los problemas de los consumidores. Más tarde, la caminata por el glaciar que se cambió en el lugar también valió mucho la pena, pero si lo piensas bien, tal vez puedas ir a los otros dos glaciares, pero si tienes la oportunidad, igual querrás ir a la cima de la montaña y marcha en la nieve de este evento ¡Muy feliz!
Se canceló debido al mal tiempo, pero el personal tuvo una muy buena actitud y explicó que fueron muy pacientes y serios al ayudarnos a manejar el problema del reembolso. El reembolso se acreditó en nuestra cuenta muy rápidamente. Volveré a reservar la próxima vez si Tengo la oportunidad.
Impresionante caminata con nuestro guía Jacob, quien nos guió alrededor de las rocas de hielo, buena caminata hasta el punto más alto de las rocas de hielo, hacer rappel y deslizarse por las laderas y las rocas. Increíble viaje en avión también
Fue divertido caminar con raquetas de nieve. Nuestro guía hizo anclas para que nos deslicemos por las laderas de nieve. No vimos las cuevas de hielo porque estaban todas cubiertas de nieve.
