This day tour that departs from Chengdu takes you all the way to the famed Giant Buddha of Leshan. It sits at the meeting point of three rivers: Min, Qingyi, and Dadu. Here, with the company of the bilingual guide, you may be able to get close to the Giant Buddha and learn about why this statue had been created and the significance it plays in the part of the locals’ lives. Afterward, you get to visit one of the towns nearby. One of the biggest industries in the area is farming tea. Here, in this mountainous area, it’s most efficient to grow tea plants in terraces, which you’ll see as you visit one of the fields. This day tour is a great way to immerse yourself in local culture outside of the city.

Un día divertido. Es un viaje largo a Leshan desde Chengdu, pero disfrutamos viendo el campo en nuestro camino (y logramos una siesta a escondidas en el camino de regreso). Nuestro guía fue fantástico yendo más allá y el almuerzo fue una de las mejores comidas que hemos comido.
Esta gira fue absolutamente impresionante. No estoy tan seguro de que el Buda Gigante sea muy turístico, pero supongo que es una visita obligada para todos los turistas. El siguiente recorrido por el casco antiguo y el mercado fue excelente y se sintió extremadamente local y no compensado por los turistas. Exactamente lo que estaba buscando. También la visita a la plantación de té y la casa de cultivo fue excelente. Recomiendo encarecidamente este recorrido para una visión auténtica, pero asegúrese de usar pantalones largos (!) - mis piernas están llenas de picaduras de mosquitos (probablemente de la granja de té).
