Below average BEFORE YOU BOOK READ!!! Reviews are great for this place but even discounting my total screw up in not reading the amenities list for this place there have been some things that could be much better. The place is staffed only for parts of the day and if you need a towel or something after 7pm I have not figured out how to find one. The common shower area is usually a mess at times you want to use so you have to clean up wet used towels belonging to some stranger before you can use. No AC which is not uncommon in Europe hotels but airflow is not ideal in all areas of the property. They provide oscillating fan but on 95 deg Fahrenheit day with 80 plus at bedtime this is not the place to stay. Great location though

The Krone hotel is a great place perfectly located. There is a shared kitchen room with a refrigerator and a microwave and coffee maker which was air-conditioned. The staff was great The only drawback was that we were right on the street and it was pretty loud.

If you don't want to sleep the night, this is the right hotel for you. That is why they provide ear plugs, because first of all it is burning hot, you will have to open the windows, and the NOISE is OH MY GOD!!! no ear plugs in the world would help you sleep. Even though the staff was nice, but I will not book at this hotel again. I am glad it was our last night in Zurich and our plane was at 9am, so we went to the airport little earlier. My daughter had to sleep in the "cool room" downstairs, it's a room that has a window AC, just so she can get a couple of hours of sleep. The noise from the downstairs was too loud.

The hotel was very well located in old town, Zürich. Nice view of the river and town.
The experience was more like a hostel than a hotel.
The room was tired if you’re at the front of the building, you’re on the busiest road in old Zürich.
There was no en suite bath or showers, you had to go outside your room. The staff were not around all the time. However they did store our Luggage for the day which was appreciated.
It was also expensive for what was provided.
A fan was provided, as there was no air-conditioning, which was in fairness advertised. But it was a hot night.
