We were very fortunate to get parked at the front of the hotel which helped a great deal as steps/long walks are an issue at the moment while waiting for a hip replacement. Reception staff, at all hours, were fantastic - could not have asked for better. So helpful with any questions we had - an excellent team there for sure. The room was lovely, although very warm, which was through no fault of the hotel as we went to London during this mad UK heatwave. The only thing we could fault in any tiny way was that the shower was quite snug - definitely could be bigger for those of us who are not a size 10! Housekeeping staff very friendly, room very clean every day. Breakfast was fantastic - so much choice, and all very tasty. Staff during breakfast were also excellent, especially lady in green shirt, and a more mature lady in black (she was a little older than many of the other staff) but they both really stood out for us - so friendly, and welcoming every morning during our 3 night stay. The only negative to breakfast choice was that the juices on offer were orange juice and grapefruit juice - I was surprised to see grapefruit juice as there are many people who cannot drink it due to medication issues (myself included). With that in mind, perhaps it would be nice to include another choice. I saw tomato juice on the menu cards but none was available at the counter. Cranberry would be a very good option. We would definitely stay again though! Excellent hotel!

Well this was the 2nd time we have stayed here. This time we had a bigger room, it was nice and clean. It was nice to have a wall mounted fan, just what we needed in this heat wave. The staff were very polite from when we turned up and sign in. The answered all our questions without thinking about it. Great room service, ring through to reception and drinks were brought to the room with in 5 minutes. Had a great meal in the bar,good selection of food. It was nice to have a good selection of drinks,it was great to get a pints of cider. We had the breakfast included,now that was great,you could have a full English breakfast, pastries, cereal and plenty of fruit. The waiting staff were very polite from welcoming us to asking what we would like to drink, nothing was to much 10/10. No parking needed arrived by train. The biggest pull to this hotel is being able to walk out the front door and straight on to Blackheath Common. That was one of the reason we go back, great walks and it doesn't feel like you are in London. All we can say is, it's been a fabulous weekend end away and we enjoyed everything we did over the 3 day's being there. If you want somewhere to stay in London away from all the madness stay here, railway station 5 minutes away.

We have stayed several times at The Clarendon Hotel. The staff are all very helpful. The bar is very comfortable space to relax and have a drink. Parking is sometimes an issue and not always easy to find a space. A few more Blue Badge holder spaces would really help. I would recommend this hotel.

I always like this hotel because of the location and reasonable price. However some things could be modernized (e.g. TV and kettle) and an ironing and iron could be provided. Breakfast was very good. The room was facing the sun and extremely hot in the room (no aircon just a fan). I would stay here again because I like it, but some small adjustments it could much better.

great staff, very friendly, kind and helpful

The location was wonderful, in a lovely village with green spaces and a beautiful church. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Train station was 5mins walk away and the buses stop across the road from the hotel. Very clean room, breakfast had everything you would want and lovely gardens out the back. The staff were very friendly and helpful and a late night drink in the bar was perfect before a good slin the comfy bed. Would definitely recommend The Clarendon.

A lovely hotel with parking overlooking the park. Buffet breakfast was good with reasonable choice some tables overlooked the garden. The rooms were a reasonable size, bathroom/toilet a bit small but fine. Bar area and lounge. Other pubs and restaurants nearby. Easy to get to the 02, Cutty Sark, Maritime Museum. Would definitely stay at this hotel again if in the area.

Lovely hotel in a green quiet location, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, this is an older hotel and had no AC in the room, some nights it got hot. The breakfast and staff were excellent. Overall had a great stay. Good value for money.

The hotel was a big disappointment. The room and bathroom were small and old. The bed was uncomfortable. During the warm weather the hotel corridors and the room were really warm without any option to cool ourselves. The worst thing was that the rooms were really loud. You could here the neighbours and every closing door on the floor. Also the hotel threw parties during the weekend so it was not possible to relax in the room. We are leaving tired and disappointed. Breakfasts were good, although missing fresh vegetables. Staff was kind too.
