This place was amazing, particularly with two children under 12. The water slides were a MASSIVE hit. They had never been on a water slide before and went down them about 50 times!! The pools are fantastic, a really nice selection of different sizes, depths and activities. The breakfast each morning was phenomenal! Staff were so friendly, always helpful. Rooms were not huge, but definitely satisfactory and clean. One issue we did have was the incredibly limited ability to hang up wet items, like towels and bathers, to dry. They either need a lot more hooks in the bathroom, a pull out line from the wall in the bathroom, or a portable line you can sit out on the balcony. Nearby burger joint was great for lunches, dinner, or great coffee and cold drinks. Oh, and one thing that truly shocked us (being Aussies) but was really amazing, is the social time down in the lobby from 3-6pm then 9-11pm. Basically an open bar, help yourself, spirits, beer, soft drinks, and little bar snacks of lollies, crackers, nuts and chocolate. Kids and adults alike. Definitely a place we would be happy to come back to again. Just one caution, get the shuttle bus or airport limoscene bus, if coming from Naha. Don’t get a taxi. Ask me how I know!

We booked in to the Grande Mercure for 3 nights during our 14 day trip for a bit of a relax with the kids (ages- 9, 10, 11 & 12). This totally hit the spot! We chose the executive level so we'd have access to the breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day and it was the best decision we made. It is a huge lounge with tons of space for families. We had great breakfast options and the coffee and drinks throughout the day were exceptional. We did not eat at the main restaurant but enjoyed lunches and one dinner at the Pizza/Waterside restaurant. It was nice to have the executive lounge space to get together with our friends, the kids could play games/cards and the adults were able to snack, read and drink when we weren't at the pool. The rooms were very well appointed and the waterslides, pools, lazy river and beach are all well maintained and easy to access. Of note, kids under 13, must be accompanied by an adult on the big tube waterslide AND in the water. That was a disappointment for us as our kids are all athletic swimmers but needed supervision IN the water at all times. We wished there was a swim test so the lifeguards could identify kids who are capable in the water. This was a very minor thing but did affect how we spent our time. Also of note, if its too windy (which we encountered during our time), there is no ability to open the umbrellas meaning there is next to no shade available at the pool. We had an exceptional meal @ Maruki Pizza a short Uber ride away.

Very spacious and clean hotel. Great for families. I wish there was a gym for working out.

Staff were great, clean but lots of ants everywhere. The executive lounge is a perk but after the first day, it’s the same items. There also isn’t enough elevators for the amount of rooms. No vending machines on site. The phones have no directory so if you need help and need to call the front desk, you can’t. Horrible.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Grand Mercure , the facilities was excellent and the restaurant for breakfast was excellent with great choices for buffet breakfast. The laundry facilities was a bonus as traveling it was easy access .the pool and outside entertainment areas were great . Thank you we will recommend you to others wishing to go to Okinawa.

This very large hotel complex had everything one might need for a terrific family holiday. Room was large with a balcony that overlooked part of the beach and all of the pools. There were water slides, a lazy river, adult only warm pool, and a family cold pool. The beach was wide with access to one lounge chair and umbrella. The beach is crushed coral with larger, rough pieces in the water. A Japanese bath is available. The restaurant had a huge assortment of local foods with a small assortment of American foods. They cater to families so provide child size plates, cutlery, bibs, baby food (on request), and high chairs. Local entertainment was available on the weekend. Resort was clean, staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, rooms were pretty quiet.

Everything was amazing! Not the most amount of variety if you're vegan but that's all good, the all you ca eat breakfast had a bunch of options.

Loved the pool and the sauna facility. We would have liked more food and coffee options though.

Pros : clean and big rooms The food is good if you like eating the same food every day :) The onsen was clean and has 3 different pools The beach is gorgeous for sure The pools are amazing The shower and tub in the room is amazing Cons :elevators take forever! The reviews about this are true. They only have 1 breakfast restaurant and 1 dinner restaurant. Breakfast is 3,000 per person in yen Dinner is 8,000 yen each. The staff did minimal effort to help us, even when we did use Google Translate they still didn’t understand ? There’s no ATM to withdraw money for the laundry service which is 500 yen per load. The beach charges you for an extra chair to sit on instead of it being for free on a 4 star resort like everywhere else around the world They only have pizza for lunch every day ! We grew tired of that You are allowed 1 towel each at the pool, you aren’t allowed more This hotel is not accessible to other hot spots without a personal vehicle unless you’re planning on spending 100 dollars each trip you take into town. Our balcony had bird excrement all over The ceiling near the vents has black mold everywhere I looked and I was curious to know if maybe all that mold went into our rooms …. I was looking forward for this trip for so long and ended up disappointed.
