First review but felt it was important for other travellers to be aware. Stayed at this hotel for one night in London. On arrival staff were friendly. However, the quality of the room was very poor. The duvet cover had a hole in it, the pillows were very uncomfortable, and the mattress was very old as the springs were very prominent and could be felt easily. The bathroom sink was blocked and smelt and the shower had mould in it and the water pressure was more like a trickle. The rooms surrounding were very loud, no sound proofing so didn't get a good night sleep. Overall, would not stay again.

Fantastic

Stayed with partner

Exceeded expectations for affordable hotel in London. This place having complimentary breakfast and en suite bathroom made it seem way better than anything else in the price range and it lived up to that! The room was, of course, fairly small, but it had everything you could need, and the bed was super comfortable, which is probably the most important part of a hotel! The staff were lovely and super helpful & breakfast was also great, all the cereal, hot drink & sandwich stuff you would want. Would recommend to anyone visiting london as a good option to sleep and eat without breaking the bank, and likely will return myself.

The benefit is that the hotel is very close to Great Ormond Street Hospital. The hotel is clean. However, I did not enjoy my stay - it is poor value for £84 and should not be more than £60. The bathroom is tiny and like an airplane toilet. The fan inside the toilet was very loud, and one of the lights did not turn on. The room felt very cramped. The clothes hanger was botched together with random hangers, and the beds were not comfortable. We had to enter the hotel through the neighbouring Guildford hotel. The room was also noisy, and we could hear rooms opening and closing outside.

The room felt rather run down but was clean enough. There was no hot water when I arrived & no hot water when I woke in the morning of my 1-night stay so I gave up on the bathroom altogether. Buying a hotel does not a hotelier make.

Good
This review must be read in the context of a one-night stay in central London on a low budget. Pros: * Tidy room * En suite toilet & shower * Clean sheets * Decent towel * Decent bed * Pleasant staff Cons: * Room was cold; can't control heat in room; told heat is only on at scheduled times * Duvet not well-matched to room temperature * Shower: anemic water pressure and never got truly hot * Toilet/shower/sink area extremely small * Breakfast limited to cereals, toast, and "juice drinks" If you're looking for a truly comfortable stay, look elsewhere (and be prepared to pay accordingly). If you're looking for a place to sleep within a budget, this hotel will do.
