Hotel Edelweiss was a great place for our four-night stay in Murren. Staff were helpful in recommending the more intensive hikes we were looking for (shout out to the gentleman working breakfast and the front desk), and the views from the hotel are unbelievable. Given the price point and how terrific everything else was, the downsides for us were the freshness and quality of the breakfast. The only "hot" food item is the option to boil an egg yourself--I don't mind the limited hot item menu, but the hotel could at least boil the eggs for us to save us the 10 extra minutes it takes to do so on our own. Also, the breads and fruit were not always fresh (or were overripe), the muesli was the least tasty among all of our stays in Switzerland, and the yogurt was consistently runny (unlike at other stays). Despite my comments on food, I would consider staying here again if we return to Murren.

A dream location... Takes your breath away if you have a balcony room facing Eiger. Best location in Murren for spring/fall hiking. Great wine and food in restaurant.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was European continental so a little difficult with American teenagers, but worked overall. The location was amazing and we would definitely return.

This hotel is in a great location on the side of a cliff, with spectacular views overlooking the valley. The restaurant had the best patio view, along with excellent food. The staff were incredibly friendly, the included breakfast had plenty of delicious options, and the rooms were thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. The laundry facilities were a great bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

This hotel and our room and their service was impeccable. So impressed with every detail of every area, including our room. Unbelievable view from our room. After 5 weeks in Europe, this hotel is at the very top. Husband and wife owners are totally committed to their guests. Wow! The included breakfast was the best ever. The food and service and view at the restaurant were also top notch.
