Palais de Chaillot

The Palais de Chaillot is a grand building in Paris, located on the Right Bank of the Seine across from the Eiffel Tower. It was built for the 1937 World's Fair on the site of the former Palais du Trocadéro. The structure has two curved wings and, a large esplanade, offering stunning views of the Eiffel Tower.

The Palais de Chaillot is famous for its architecture, its cultural role, and its history. It’s where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted in 1948. The building also hosted key events during World War II and the post-war era. The Eiffel Tower is located directly across the Seine River from the Palais de Chaillot. The esplanade in front of the palace is one of the most famous spots for Eiffel Tower photos. From here, you’ll have a wide, unobstructed view of the tower. It’s especially beautiful at sunset or when the tower sparkles at night.

The best time to visit the Palais de Chaillot is early in the morning or around sunset. These times have softer light for photos of the Eiffel Tower and fewer crowds. Night visits are also popular because the tower lights up across the Seine.

You can reach the Palais de Chaillot easily by metro. Take Line 6 or 9 to the Trocadéro station, which is a short walk from the gardens and esplanade. Buses and taxis are also available, and the site is located near the Right Bank attractions in Paris.
